“Brought my rescue chihuahua here expecting a disaster because he snaps when strangers touch his paws. Somehow the groomer managed to trim all his nails without upsetting him too badly. They worked slowly and didn’t force him when he became anxious. I could tell they had experience handling difficult dogs instead of just rushing through appointments. There was a small mix-up with the pickup time, but they apologized immediately and offered him water while we waited. Very patient staff overall.“

I drive from Old Town Alexandria to Fairfax to get my dog groomed. I love this place! My dog has very long hair and can't be shaved completely. Posey Pups does an amazing job! “Mark has been our groomer for 4 years now, and we love him like family! He is so patient and caring with our fur baby, and she looks perfect after every groom. She hops in the car excitedly when I tell her we’re going to see Mark!
We had an issue with another groomer while Mark was out of the office for a few weeks, but the manager handled it with care and professionalism and was more than accommodating to resolve the situation, and I was very satisfied with the outcome. No one is perfect, but Olde Town Pet Resort and all of the staff is as close as you can get! The front desk staff is incredible too, and it’s obvious they have a love for their job and the clients, always welcoming and organized every time. 10 out of 5 stars, I can’t recommend them highly enough!“

“My dog Lilac loves going to the vet. In fact she has taken me there on walks. During Lilac's last yearly check up she didn't realize that she got two shots and had blood drawn. The doctors also find practical solutions if a problem arises. For example they suggested Zyrtec for her allergies instead of pushing something expensive.“

“Brought our five year old super anxious golden doodle Saint for a very overdue grooming appointment. They were so attentive and took excellent care of Saint. We were concerned that Saint would be a difficult client for them and may end up looking rough because he was very matted and overgrown. We were blown away with how well Saint looked after his appointment. No cuts, scrapes or bald patches. He looked adorable and we will definitely be coming back for all of his future grooming needs and not wait so long either. “We were able to board our pup of 4 years in very short notice. We could not be more grateful for Hometown to have availability for her to stay for almost a week. They were very accommodating, and had a schedule laid out to take care of her and take her on walks.
They were understanding of her nervousness, especially separation anxiety. When I called to check in on her, they responded with patience. They were supportive and honest on how she was doing.

“We can’t recommend training at affectionate Pet Care enough. We were struggling with our dog’s extreme anxiety and reactivity which caused her to bark, growl and jump at strangers. Tom understood our dog’s personality and tailored the training perfectly. He taught us how to handle her and she is so much happier and content. “I cannot express enough how much I recommend Frolick!!! I initially was just going to the open gym in the evenings to practice agility and basic commands with my Bernedoodle , where I had met initially Kevin and Kim (the owners). Kevin is SUCH a wealth of knowledge about dogs and had given me initial tips to build on what my girl already knew, but the more we talked, I knew the day board and train would be the best option. IN COMES JUSTIN!! He has the Kevin touch as well. Everything looks effortless. He also was beyond patient with me ( I think I was harder to train than my dog tbh, but you’ll have to ask him). Now, I swear my girl loves Justin more than me (they really should love their trainers that much!), she loves “going to school” (which is what we call Frolick)- to the point she starts Panting when we get close by on Duke street.
The perfect mix of corrections and positive reinforcement, training the things I needed the most and was having the hardest time being consistent with (place, heel, recalls) and dealing with reactivity! GOD SENDS. If I have a question or concern,I don’t feel dumb asking or coming to Frolick to ask or practice. EVERYONE has noticed how much more relaxed both my pup and myself are now- that’s confidence from Justin. Frolick is truly a family and I wish I would have found them even sooner. I will be eternally grateful!!“

“I was very satisfied. I was having a hard time finding affordable quality grooming for my recent rescue long-haired cat. I was impressed and reassured by the fact that For Pets’ Sake has a dedicated cat groomer specifically. Everyone in the shop was very kind and professional. Lee was so sweet with my cat. I got a standard cat grooming session which includes bath, brush, cut, nail trimming, and ear cleaning for $160. I asked them to skip the cut and just give her a sanitary cut in the back. She came home clean and refreshed and I was happy with the ear cleaning and nail trimming. Definitely recommend! Of course she is now grooming herself to put her own touches on it 😂“

“As a husky owner it’s difficult to find a groomer that has patience and knows how to handle huskies. Took my baby to get groomed and it was 10/10! Full grooming, bath, nails and deshedding and he came out looking amazing and happy. Hes a typical husky that doesn't like water or getting his nails cut but they were able to do everything. I recommend them for others fellow husky owners :)“
