Today, Calvin Phelps from Gilman Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing came by after my hot water heater failed... only 10 years after installation, which Gilman originally handled. I shared my frustration with Calvin regarding the plastic shutoff valve that was installed previously by Gilman. Unfortunately, when I needed it most, in an emergency, it couldn’t be used. This was the only emergency I’ve had, and it left me questioning the purpose of having that valve if it wasn’t reliable when needed. UGH... That said, Gilman’s service and technicians have always been outstanding, and I truly appreciate the quick response and professionalism. I only wish there had been more consideration given to the quality of that component during the last installation, as it could have prevented a lot of stress and damage this time. I understand these things happen, and I’m grateful that your team is scheduled to come out Thursday to resolve this current issue, but an additional break would have been nice. Please know that despite this concern, I remain very appreciative of the help and responsiveness your team has shown then and now. Thank you for your continued commitment to great service.“
