“Rocky Mountain Dachshund Rescue (rmdr.org) has been grateful for Dr. Lynette Sakellariou, DVM and her team since Kona and Bailey had their first wellness visits in 2023. One of our trusted fosters introduced us to Neighborhood Veterinary Care, and we’ve relied on them ever since to care for our dachshunds and doxie mixes coming from a wide range of backgrounds—many of whom arrive in need of rehabilitative medical care before finding their forever homes. Dr. Lynette and her staff have always treated our rescue dogs (and our fosters!) with compassion, professionalism, and respect. The office runs efficiently, appointments are handled with care, and the communication is excellent—from the front desk staff to the vet techs who are really good at remembering which dog is which (no small feat when they all have names like “DeeDee” and “Samwise” who is now named “River”--his adopted mom and dad still take him to see Dr. Lynette.) We especially appreciate their gentle approach—like offering dental cleanings that don’t require sedation when possible—and the way they help anxious dogs (and humans) feel more comfortable. Their kindness is an essential part of what makes this clinic stand out. As a foster-based rescue, we’ve loved having a veterinary clinic we trust right in the neighborhood.
