When my dog had stopped eating for 2 weeks & several emergency vets told me “she’ll eat when she’s hungry” Hillside was willing to fit me in within hours to their busy schedule to see her & ultimately operate. They communicated copiously and I felt informed & supported every step of the way. I cannot recommend more highly.“
“I called Dr. Monroe to see if he could help our paralyzed dog. He was out of town but he called the day after he got home and left a message and then called again. He told us he couldn't help her but gave us other options and spent a lot of time on the phone educating me on her condition and what to do. I didn't pay him a cent and he wasn't expecting anything but his compassion was so amazing to me. He works with horses but if I had a horse I would take it to him. His integrity, compassion, knowledge and care is such that I haven't seen elsewhere.“

“Unfortunately, the news was not good for our wonderful Ninja. Dr. Jeff called to tell me the litany of things that were wrong with him. He spent about 20 -30 minutes on the phone going over our options and giving me his recommendations, which I agreed with reluctently but wholeheartedly. Which were no extra ordinary measures. We proceeded to cuddle, coddle and love Ninja. We had hoped that he would pass peacefully at home. That was not to be, we called Neighboorhood Veterinary Care early one morning to arrange to have Ninja put to sleep. They were very accommodating and fit us in with in 2 hours. Dr. Lynette performed the procedure and was so calming, loving, and sympathetic as she put Ninja to rest. I have had previous cat put to sleep at another vet, which was handeled exceptionally well, but Dr. Lynette was head and shoulders above my last experience. Kudos to Neighborhood Veterinary Care from top to bottom. All the saff is wonderful, caring and sympathetic. Dr. Lynette does a great job with culture, staffing , skill and compassion Thank you, Shelley Carter“

“On Monday I had to say goodbye to my good old boy, baby Jude. The staff at Brookside Animal clinic was incredible through the whole horrific process.Jude was eleven when we rescued him from an abusive and scary life back in December of 2019. He had developed allergies and was miserable. He was a gigantic bear of a German Shepherd and weighed over 100 pounds. The staff at Brookside was awesome, especially during Covid when they would have to walk him without us, from our car in the parking lot. They were so patient and sweet with him as he had a very aggressive bark.If you are ever in the unfortunate situation where you have to see a veterinarian, I can’t recommend them enough. The prices is next to none. I have no learned not to “judge a book by its cover” because it doesn’t look like much from the outside. We had been going to a “bougie” vet out in Draper and it was a beautiful and pristine place, but the staff was cold and the prices were astronomical. My sister in law recommended Brookside Animal clinic because she had just lost their sweet dog and Brookside was the only vet available in the city who would let their family be present for euthanasia because of the pandemic.I arrived at Brookside Monday morning without my shoes on and our other baby dog in tow. It had been a nightmare of a weekend and I was exhausted and emotionally spent.The staff was so understanding and sympathetic to the situation and they were amazing with Jude during his last precious moments on Earth.I wish he could have passed away at home on his own, but he just kept holding on through the pain. It was an agonizing decision to make and the vet walked us through each step and didn’t seem at all bothered that we interfered with her lunch break.Thank you again to the amazing staff for taking such good care of my baby Jude!“
