This last time, my pup hurt her back and was in a lot of pain and they were able to get her in quite quickly and get her some pain relief along with a plan for us going forward. The nurses and doctors are very friendly, and knowledgeable.“

“Dr Rob has taken care of my cat's teeth for the last 5 years. She had 6 teeth removed in the years before we adopted her, but since Dr Rob started cleaning her teeth she has had no teeth removed. His office is a bit of a drive for me, but I would not take her to anyone else. Dr Rob is an excellent vet and I highly recommend him.“

“I want to start by saying I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Katie Hilla. She is a wonderful doctor and owner, and I truly value the care she provides. However, my experience with the front desk today was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. ​I arrived early and was waiting right in front of the door before the clinic even opened. The front desk staff member was fully aware of who was there first—she even made direct eye contact with us in our vehicles when she came out to take the trash. Despite this, when the doors opened, she allowed a couple with three dogs to jump ahead of everyone who had been waiting. ​When I pointed out that there was a clear order of arrival, her only response was, "Well, it’s walk-in, first come, first served." Using that as a justification felt like a slap in the face. On my previous visit, the staff correctly took people in the order they arrived, so to see that protocol ignored today—especially when she saw us sitting there first—was unprofessional and rude. ​I even had a conversation with another gentleman waiting who confirmed I was there first. I ended up putting my pet back in the car because of how this was handled. It is a shame that such a great doctor is represented by a front desk process that feels this disorganized and disrespectful to patients' time. I hope Dr. Hilla addresses the training here, as the current front desk conduct doesn't match the quality of the medical care.“

“Dr Gregg Farmer is the best. We took our 12 year old cat Bogie to a vet that was located closer to our home bc he was losing a lot of weight. They did all sorts of tests and removed some bad teeth but he didn’t improve. Took him to Dr Farmer for second opinion and found out he was diabetic and had thyroid issues. We changed his diet per Dr Farmers instructions and out him on thyroid meds and he’s now back and healthy running up and down the hallway again. The other vets office charged me a lot of money for tests (and retesting) which they did “in house” but they never recommended anything or said blood results showed any problems. They didn’t really know what the problem was and said “we will just keep monitoring”

Our family has been going to Dr Farmer for years- he’s a super vet - really really knows the science of animals and animal medicine -we tried new vets after a move but we will be staying with Dr Farmer going forward. Highly recommend him.

November 2025 update!
Dr F is back in Austin and we are so grateful. Our older cat has special needs - diabetic , thyroid, blindness from detached retina, and sometimes recurring sinus bacterial infections and Dr Gregg Farmer and his team at the Animal Medical Center of Austin has been right there to give us great veterinary advice expertise and guidance. Our goal is to keep our cat happy and comfortable as long as possible. He’s doing really great and is happy and enjoying his little cat life with our family. We couldn’t do this without Dr Farmer’s years of veterinary practical excellent experience. Truly the best vet we have ever been to. Highly recommended.“
