“This is a recommendation for ServePro of Richardson, but more specifically for Jose Guerrero who acted as the general contractor and insurance liaison.
We met Jose of ServePro when we had an insurance claim for flooding in our home. From the beginning Jose was very helpful in working with the insurance company and being sure they had all the information they needed. Our insurance adjuster was very difficult to work with but Jose kept things going. As the work progressed Jose became the general contractor for the repair. He made sure we understood the work that was needed and estimating the time required for the repairs. He kept us well informed of the progress in general but also in letting us know which and when contractors would be arriving. He came to check on the progress everyday and if I missed him at the house he would always call to check in.
Our water damage was very extensive, requiring the wood flooring in the entire first floor to be removed which included all the cabinets, countertops, and appliances. I was very nervous about damage that might happen to all those things being removed but in the end it all went back in very nicely. Jose was there for every step along the way making sure the work was done correctly. When additional (hidden) damage was found he documented and filed it with the insurance company, often having to “do battle” with them for approval.
We had a bathroom that needed to be gutted and remodeled so we decided to add that on as a separate (non-insurance) job. Again Jose kept us well informed and the contractors flowing through on time.

From the first call talking with Heather and then Lisa; to them scheduling Larry Keithly to check out where a leak might be coming from. The communication, attention to detail, and professionalism from everyone has been excellent! Larry was able to see what was going on with the roof and gave a very reasonable estimate. He even removed the very old unused satellite dish (that caused the problem) and did a temporary cover over the hole that day!

“Fantastic service. Large live oak removed the same day I called them. Also removed dead Crepe Myrtle and pruned 2 healthy ones. Stump grinding done the next day was very thorough. “These days, it can often be a gamble when you hire a company you have never worked with to do repairs on your home. We got bids from several different foundation companies, all of which sounded good. Prices varied somewhat as well as the type of piers recommended. We got the best impression from Metro-Tex after Steve Sutherland came over and did measurements. We liked that as owner of the company he was very hands on, which turned out to be the case as he came out by himself to clear holly bushes in the front flower bed so his crew could start working right away once they arrived to do the work. After the job was completed, he came back and helped me take down two crepe myrtle trees which he said might be a problem down the road. Steve takes great pride in his work and will do whatever it takes to get the job done right. Should we ever need any more work done, we will certainly use Metro-Tex.“
