“Nicest people and best delivery of information. Navy does not cover my contacts, so I visit this McKinney location when I can. Worth the very reasonable pricing since it is an out of pocket expense. Appointment was at 3:15pm and was in the chair by 3:16pm last visit with a busy waiting area.“

“The five stars are for Ms. Carla! I am a first-time patient here and the service I received from Ms. Carla was phenomenal.

She took the time to write down my entire eye history and performed various tests for my eyes. She was engaging, personable, and efficient. I did not feel rushed at all. Her calm demeanor set me at ease and making me feel safe and cared for. I really think she did a phenomenal job and I was very impressed with the quality of care she gave me and how she treated me with dignity as a human being; not just a number to get me in and out as quickly as possible. Sadly, that has been my experience at other eye clinics. So, I am overwhelmingly pleased with my first visit with Ms. Carla as my ophthalmic technician. She was very, very good at what she does. Taking my pressure manually, explaining each drop; the numbing and the dilation. Making sure I understood everything before proceeding. It is very, very rare nowadays to find a medical assistant like that and I am so grateful I was able to find that today in Ms. Carla.

Other good mentions is for Dr. Patel and his medical scribe. They worked together in such a smooth way. Dr. Patel took his time to look into my eyes very, very thoroughly and told me what was going on. Ive been having this mysterious eye issue and I don't know what else to do. He gave me very practical things to do next and I felt listened to. He's a good doctor. The medical scribe wrote down my routine for me and she was very thorough about explaining my eye care routine for at-home treatment.

The lady at the front desk, both check-in and check-out ladies were polite. I have no insurance issues so far--and this is from someone who has primary and secondary insurance (this is both a blessing and a burden navigating two insurances), and they were able to take both insurances.

Other mentions: The only thing is that that building is quite old. I would like it to be more inviting or have new fixtures, but that shouldn't discourage one to not come here. It's definitely something small to improve on, but otherwise I was very impressed with the service I received.

“I truly appreciate Dr. Albortz and the level of care she provides. She is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and always takes the time to clearly explain my eye care needs and answer questions. Her professionalism and attention to detail are the reason I continue to return to the practice.

Unfortunately, my experience outside of the exam room has been less positive, the customer service experience felt very transactional rather than welcoming. The sales associates did not appear particularly engaged or helpful during the frame selection process, and there was little effort made to provide style guidance or create a warm customer experience. A more modern, diverse frame selection along with a more energetic and customer-focused approach from staff would greatly improve the overall experience.

While I trust Dr. Albortz with my eye care, I will likely purchase my frames elsewhere moving forward.“

“Fantastic experience! I've been wearing glasses since I was in the 3rd grade and have been getting my eyes examined for decades. Hands down, the most comprehensive eye exam I've ever had. They did tests I've never done before and now I feel more fully prepared for any changes in my vision. Plus today I tried contacts for the first time and they have a special area set aside to demonstrate and help you learn how to use them. All my questions were answered by the staff and optometrist. I wish I had been coming here sooner!“

“I want to say Dr. Kelly and the staff at myeyedr are amazing. Dr. Kelly takes his time answering questions when you have them. He never rushes when I come for my exams. He seems to care about my needs. He always seems to have a positive attitude towards his team. They definitely seem like a family up there. The past couple years I noticed that they work to help each other when needed. The tech she asks a lot about past medical information for the doctor. She puts a lot information in for Dr. Kelly so he can come right in and do his examination. The officer manager is the most knowledgeable and sweetest person I’ve ever met with and she always helps with eyeglasses and she always ask her team for like second opinion to help with eyeglasses when someone likes more than 1 eyeglasses design. And I saw when everyone is busy it seems like everyone helps checking people in when one staff member is helping another person. Definitely go here for good customer service and getting a good pair of eyeglasses.“
