“As the founder of a Houston based rescue, I have seen my share of trainers - many of whom make huge promises without the delivery.
My rescue received a young, male Doberman several years ago who had no manners and no boundaries. I needed a trainer and Jose was referred to me by another rescue of whom worked with him on several of their dogs.
All I can say was my first experience with Semper Amici did not disappoint. Jose worked with our Doberman for several weeks as a board and train and the results spoke for themselves as he was quickly adopted out and his new owners gave rave reviews of how well mannered and responsive he was.
Fast forward several years later - I decided to keep, for one of my personal dogs, a young, female Rottweiler that my rescue had taken in several weeks prior. Since we spend half the year in another state where our home includes multiple acres of property and a ton of wildlife, I needed “Meka” to have excellent recall, to “stay” when told and to control her impulses. I met with Jose and expressed these needs regarding what was absolutely necessary with her behavior. Meka spent three weeks with the team at Semper Amici. Since she was a “rescue” dog I had concerns about leaving her that long but trusted Jose. At my first “visit” with Meka, she was completely at ease with the team and very happy. I was really put at ease after that initial meeting.
Meka is now living in the country and I couldn’t be happier with how well she is doing. Her recall is spot on as well as the other skills and commands that she (we) were taught :)

“I have a 16 month old female doberman that has not had social outings with other dogs. We have 2.5 acres and play with her a lot. That being said I believe she is longing to play with other dogs but! is terrified. A friend referred me and Kitt to pet suites thinking it might be a good fit. Well I took her hoping she would just run and play that was not the case. I figured pet pet suites would just say sorry and send us on our way but they have been so kind playing with her trying to get her more comfortable around calm dogs. Today will be her third day I'm hoping with continuing guidance and the wonderful people at pet suites that Kitt will make progress with every visit . “We have been using Atascazoo for going on 10 years I believe. They have been there through thick and thin with our 2 cats. They caught a tumer in our 15 yo cat that the 24 hour emergency vet missed. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to Thumper that year. They have been very kind and supportive. Our other cat Moetoes is now 19, they treat her as if she is the only cat they treat and shower her with attention when we come in. The staff and Dr.'s are amazing! ??“

“Our first dog boarding experience at Pet Paradise was a good one. It was the longest we have ever boarded our dogs while on vacation. We liked that we could watch them on the cameras, the staff was friendly and attentive to our needs, concerns, and calls while we were gone. Dogs were well taken care of and the after hours pick up made it that much better. I am more comfortable with Pet places that have 24 hour staff. Many dont anymore and you continue to hear horror stories about things that happen. (Example; Georgetown TX resort that burned down at night in 21') So being that this place has more of a 24-hour presence will be our forever boarding place. Competition around town does not offer the late after hours. We will be back. Thank you again.“

“We had AJ train our almost 3 yr old Frenchie when we got her. Everything was great, they were very communicative with her progress, they picked up and dropped off, smooth process overall. She learned potty training, crate training and basic commands, we didnt request anything too in depth as that was not needed but I am pretty sure they do offer more training if the customer requests it. We highly recommend AJ and Progressive Dog Training!“
