He puts it in terms that you understand what is going on with your body and the actions of it which caused the injury. Then runs through your treatment plan with you. I went in due to pain in my groin area from playing soccer. Thought it was a groin injury, but instead found out it's because of my hamstring and abductor rubbing into each other because they're overcompensating from my weak medial Glute muscle(The muscle that's right above your glute).I will admit I was skeptical at first but then after my 2nd visit, and of course my physical therapy home sessions, I started seeing big improvements. I'm now back to my self again on the pitch and that's thanks to Dr. Aaron, the physical therapy team (Lou and Drea). Thank you all so much for getting me back to it and for future strengthening advices.“

I just felt hopeless that I could get relief but I felt that if I could just find the right person I could get some answers and relief. This was definitely the right place!! All of the team members are kind, empathetic, and truly care for their patients. After an initial visit, I sat down with Dr. Bagley who discussed the findings and how together we could put my body in a state of healing. I still have some work to do but but so far the results have been great!!“

711 W 38th St STE D1, Austin“Direct Care medicine with Dr. Larson at Euphora Health is a godsend. As a physician myself, I know very well the external pressures that fall on doctors in the traditional American healthcare model. Those pressures make even the most caring and thorough doctors have to spend less time than they would like with each individual patient, and of course patients are dissatisfied with that too. On the patient end, both myself personally and with watching loved ones, I've seen time and again how in that traditional model, finding and getting medical care can involve very long wait times, sometimes never even getting a response, or leaving appointments feeling hurried, unheard, frustrated, and sometimes even judged. It has been invaluable for me to know that whenever I have a health concern I can quickly reach Dr. Larson and have an unhurried conversation or even quick in person appt (often next day availability) where all my questions are answered. I never feel that subtle pressure to speed things up, and I don't feel worried that my concerns will be dismissed. I love having texting through an app instead of days-long turnaround through more bulky patient portals. And Dr. Larson himself is great. He is able to really spend time and consider you as a whole person rather than just isolated symptoms to address with with one medication after another. He recommends lifestyle changes and takes into consideration your personal situation and what options are the most doable and best fit for you. He's been a great source for recommending several ancillary services that have helped me too - be it highly recommended practitioners for back pain, meal prep services, mental health support, or whatever. I fully trust his medical education and knowledge, and I find his bedside manner to be caring and personable. It is also awesome to have the option to get labs there vs. going to long-wait, crowded commercial lab offices. And I love being able to get my flu shot there each year, because scheduling is so flexible and easy, and I really trust everyone at the office more than just a random chain pharmacy appointment. Even if I move elsewhere in the state, I will likely continue using Euphora health as my primary care. It would be well worth a drive when needed for in-person visits.“
“Look no further for expert and compassionate care. I entered BSW in so much pain with an injured knee and neck. My therapist Brandon understood how much pain I was in - physically and mentally. With manual therapy and exercises, I was able to get my pain under control, strengthen my body and gain the confidence to get back on my feet again. I am so grateful to Brandon - in addition to Rachel and Chris (manager and administrative assistant). They all are so helpful and they genuinely care for each of their clients. I really don’t know what I would have done, had I not been referred here.“
“I love this place, i had been dealing with depression and anxiety. I made an appointment with Dr zarzuela , he is very knowledgeable, he listens to your concerns very patiently. 120 W Slaughter Ln #100, Austin“Let me start off by saying this: I was so happy to hear that Dr. Kumar is no longer with Village Medical. I strongly advise you never to be seen by Dr. Paquette Kumar. His care is not even comparable to the exceptional treatment provided by Annie, PA, and Mary, the appointment coordinator. I'm not sure if that staff member who caused so much distress is still with Village Medical, but I can confidently say that the care, empathy, and diligence I've received recently have been a complete turnaround. If you've been a patient of Dr. Kumar or had similar negative experiences in the past, and you're hesitant to return, let me assure you that things have changed for the better. Dr. Kumar is no longer here, and the care team now is outstanding. I've read many negative reviews about Dr. Kumar, including issues with overcharging patients, but I can assure you that this is no longer happening. It's never happened to me, and you will be in amazing hands with the current staff. Now, let me share a bit of my story. Last year, I was seeking help to overcome a battle many of us have faced that steamed from an injury in 2017. Instead of receiving support, I was treated as if I were seeking something aside better health and a better life, that I did accomplish, thanks to a qualified and capable doctor in Houston, Dr Kumar refused to even provide me with a doctor who could help me or resources -that are literally life saving . Although I s should have never gone back after this.I'm so glad I did not leave because now I have Annie PA as my provider. Now I have Mary the appointmen coordinator at the front desk and i know I'm in good hands ,you will be too. Dr. Kumar made me feel ashamed for asking for help, he has no values or traits that of a qualified medical professional . This ordeal was compounded by a staff member who left an accidental voicemail, gossiping about my medical history and making inappropriate comments, including that I had no business asking for help and was a "red flag." This was a blatant violation of my privacy and my trust, and that staff member had no authority or qualifications to access my records. Dr. Kumar should have been held accountable for this illegal sharing of my records and the unprofessional behavior of his staff. The final straw came just a month or so ago when Dr. Kumar told me to seek a psychiatrist and get on anti-psychotic medication, instead of addressing my actual medical needs. He hesitated to refer me to the specialist I needed and instead referred me to a doctor who, unsurprisingly, was unable to help me because I needed a specialist.Just as I had suggested ! I'm aware I'm. It a doctor . So it was hard for me to explain my issues not to mention the fear I had in my wording not wanting to say too much and he behave as he did priorly. Thankfully, my experience has dramatically improved since then. Mary and Annie believed me and supported me through the roller coaster of getting the care I needed. Mary is absolutely amazing at her job as a patient coordinator, and Annie worked diligently to figure out what testing I needed to be seen by the right specialist. I'm comparing the two because if you, like me, had a terrible experience with Dr. Kumar, you may be hesitant to return to Village Medical. But I want you to know that things have changed for the better, and you no longer have to worry--Dr. Kumar is not at Village Medical anymore.“

5608 Parkcrest Dr # 175, Austin“I came to Dr. K through the recommendation of a friend who had visited him to find a solution for her constant migraine headaches. I too, was suffering from migraine headaches and unrelenting eczema. As I began listing all of my symptoms and previous treatments I saw his brain going to work. I appreciate his philosophy about treating beyond the symptoms and getting to the root cause. He seems to be investigating and putting the puzzle pieces together every visit. Since I've started treatment at The Applied Kinesiology Center I haven't had a single migraine headache and my eczema has improved greatly (he recommended that I follow the Paleo diet, adjusted me, added some supplements for deficiencies I had, and showed me some ways I could adjust problem areas myself). There is still a bit of work to do in figuring out the underlying issues to my eczema. I don't know that I will be able to continue past my initial ten visits (recommended) because the price per visit is so high. But I appreciate the work and beginnings to answers I have gotten from my time there. Expect to pay a pretty penny! But expect to receive an informed and thoughtful opinion instead of a rushed prescription you might get at your every day doctor's visit.“

West Holistic Medicine, 904 West Ave #109, Austin“Dr. Maltz is the holy grail of naturopaths as she is an MD as well! I have had excellent naturopaths in the past, and was originally with someone far from excellent here in Austin. Dr. Maltz turned around my stomach issues very quickly and I am much better now. I will miss her dearly when I move away in July. Some other notes:1. I pretty much knew what was wrong with me already, but I told her little about my own research (medical data worker) and she diagnosed me exactly, along with some other issues. Her knowledge of what to do next was what I was really after and she has delivered.2. She has a subscription system in which you pay a monthly fee (not large at all), then can email as needed (within reason), and see her once a month either virtually or in person. I don't think you have to use this system but you should!3. Regular doctors can often see immediate concerns, but Dr. Maltz's system allows for long-term, gradual help, that is much less brutal on you while allowing natural, but aided, healing.4. She is also caring, good-natured, and sometimes even funny, which I really appreciate.I cannot recommend her highly enough! She is fantastic at her work.“
