Let me start off by saying this: I was so happy to hear that Dr. Kumar is no longer with Village Medical. I strongly advise you never to be seen by Dr. Paquette Kumar. His care is not even comparable to the exceptional treatment provided by Annie, PA, and Mary, the appointment coordinator. I'm not sure if that staff member who caused so much distress is still with Village Medical, but I can confidently say that the care, empathy, and diligence I've received recently have been a complete turnaround. If you've been a patient of Dr. Kumar or had similar negative experiences in the past, and you're hesitant to return, let me assure you that things have changed for the better. Dr. Kumar is no longer here, and the care team now is outstanding. I've read many negative reviews about Dr. Kumar, including issues with overcharging patients, but I can assure you that this is no longer happening. It's never happened to me, and you will be in amazing hands with the current staff. Now, let me share a bit of my story. Last year, I was seeking help to overcome a battle many of us have faced that steamed from an injury in 2017. Instead of receiving support, I was treated as if I were seeking something aside better health and a better life, that I did accomplish, thanks to a qualified and capable doctor in Houston, Dr Kumar refused to even provide me with a doctor who could help me or resources -that are literally life saving . Although I s should have never gone back after this.I'm so glad I did not leave because now I have Annie PA as my provider. Now I have Mary the appointmen coordinator at the front desk and i know I'm in good hands ,you will be too. Dr. Kumar made me feel ashamed for asking for help, he has no values or traits that of a qualified medical professional . This ordeal was compounded by a staff member who left an accidental voicemail, gossiping about my medical history and making inappropriate comments, including that I had no business asking for help and was a "red flag." This was a blatant violation of my privacy and my trust, and that staff member had no authority or qualifications to access my records. Dr. Kumar should have been held accountable for this illegal sharing of my records and the unprofessional behavior of his staff. The final straw came just a month or so ago when Dr. Kumar told me to seek a psychiatrist and get on anti-psychotic medication, instead of addressing my actual medical needs. He hesitated to refer me to the specialist I needed and instead referred me to a doctor who, unsurprisingly, was unable to help me because I needed a specialist.Just as I had suggested ! I'm aware I'm. It a doctor . So it was hard for me to explain my issues not to mention the fear I had in my wording not wanting to say too much and he behave as he did priorly. Thankfully, my experience has dramatically improved since then. Mary and Annie believed me and supported me through the roller coaster of getting the care I needed. Mary is absolutely amazing at her job as a patient coordinator, and Annie worked diligently to figure out what testing I needed to be seen by the right specialist. I'm comparing the two because if you, like me, had a terrible experience with Dr. Kumar, you may be hesitant to return to Village Medical. But I want you to know that things have changed for the better, and you no longer have to worry--Dr. Kumar is not at Village Medical anymore.
Was looking for a PCP and saw a Village Med ad on Facebook. I was able to make an appointment only a few days away. I saw Dr Davila. He was Outstanding. I wasn’t rushed, probably talked too much but he never rushed me and took his time. A rarity in the current time. I will return. The office was spotless and everyone I spoke too was kind and professional. Most of all, they all had big smiles:).
Afer 15 years of searching I finally have found a Doctor's office I trust and like. Each and every one is super friendly and very very accomodating. They are also very patient with me when I'm asking 5000000 questions. Raul, the lab tech did a perfect job in drawing blood... quick, pain free and efficient, the nurse was very sweet and very patient and talked to me a good while... and Dr. Karina Gutierrez is outstanding, knowledgeable and sweet anyway. Aaaand... the front desk lady, Sabrina, ist super friendly and efficient too. I love all of them and they all do everything above and beyond to make a Doctor's visit as comfortable as it gets. Thank you!
