“Dr. Bishop is the most knowledgeable, educated, thorough optometrist I have seen in my 34 years of wearing glasses in contact lenses. He educated me and explain to me why I was having some of the issues I was having and made the transition from regular single vision lenses took progressive, tolerable. It was hard to accept for a minute. When you have somebody that loves what they do and takes the time out to explain to you, it definitely helps. I have gone to LensCrafters pretty much my entire life in some part of Nashville, but as long as he is here at this location, this is where I will have my eye exam yearly from now on. The entire staff was amazing and I’m so sorry that I didn’t get everybody’s name but from the moment I walked in the door with the associates that helps me in front with my glasses , To the ladies that were in the back at the desk at the optometrist office, everyone was great. This is the Way to do retail and they set the bar on customer service. If I could give them more than five stars I would. The whole store is outstanding.“

“Dr. Lavanya Tammareddi was wonderful! I went in as an emergency visit for a pretty bad corneal abrasion and she was very helpful and took my injury seriously. Nobody at the office made me feel like a burden even though they were super busy and I’m sure my emergency visit messed with their schedule. “these people are awesome and i cannot reccomend this place enough. wait times are commonly very short, and your team (the doctor especially) will listen to you about your concerns and try to help you. theres occasionally some coloring pages out, though they haven't done that in a bit. if you're a religious person i believe they have bibles. they've always caught my eye issues head on, and are patient throughout the whole process.

bonus points: im autistic, and they were very patient on the rare occasions i got overwhelmed or overstimulated :)“

“Glasses took way longer to get back. I had to call and was told “there was a mess up”. No communication. When I picked them up they were wrong. I asked for a refund and the lady stated “ we do not give refunds.” I never received a receipt that stated this. She said “it will be a quick fix. I’ve been waiting in lobby for 50 min.. this is after being here already over an hour. I would have went back to work but she stayed quick fix. I have never had an experience where I couldn’t get a refund. My lenses were 1k. I asked for my old frames to be used. They put new frames on but then wanted me to pay the difference.The lenses were scratched and my like new frames scratched too.Admended- even though I was refused a refund without signing anything - (nothing is posted on office either )New frames and lenses were ordered since mine were scratched in the process of switching the lenses in my like new frames. 2 weeks later and I have glasses that are right. So even tho it’s been a month process and I was not able to get a refund- I have glasses that fit and the frames are correct. Thank you.“

Pro: Easy to make an appointment, I can buy refills within one year of the exam, going in person or by phone has always worked, the tech and the doctor are courteous and efficient.

“I can’t say enough about the BellMeade location. The staff and the doctor were nothing short of amazing. My daughter was in a horrible atv accident (we are so blessed that God saved her), she has a tbi, concussion, contusion and hemotomea to both her head and eye. Dr. D took the time explaining things, showing what her looks like now what she can and can’t see, we had lots of testing, he was patient and also told us stories about him being involved in two race car accidents back to back years. After everything was done Dr. D said his/our goal with the correct glasses and therapy needed it will take time to get my daughter back to normal. I told him we have plenty of time to get her whatever we need to get her 100% back. So listen to your Mama instinct like I did to find the right doctor and therapy place. I would recommend anyone with an eye injury to go and see him. He is an amazing doctor. We drove 1.5 to get to him.“
