“Today I saw the R Smith truck pull up. I am on auto delivery, but knew the tank was about 3/4 full. I was slightly dreading seeing the total as I know oil prices are currently high. A few minutes later, I got a knock and Ruben, the owner was at my door. He said my tank is at 3/4 and with oil at $5, he's not going to fill it just to fill it as he is hoping prices moderate. I was appreciative of his honesty and service.

R Smith has always been fair, very consistent with their auto deliveries and their fairly new burner service division has been a great addition with great service as well.

“We cannot sing Rene and his team’s praises highly enough. Rene is without exaggeration very professional, an excellent contractor, ethical and compassionate as well. When my vulnerable elderly mother had a boiler malfunction in November 2023, she called her regular plumber who she had trusted for years and who happened to have good reviews. They insisted they would not help her unless they replaced the boiler for over $7,500, after rebates. As she was vulnerable and stressed about having no heat during winter, she placed a deposit for about $3500 with her regular plumber. Mom told me she did not feel good about their ultimatum and their sales tactics over the years as they had repeatedly pressured her to replace her boiler, when it was only several years old. Rene and his team responded right away after I called several contractors who were not available and came right away late on a Friday for an estimate. The next Saturday morning, he immediately and expertly repaired the boiler for only $750 so that it is good working condition. Mom had seen the other experienced plumbers work before and was pleasantly surprised that Rene and his team were so talented and kind. Unfortunately, in mid-February, as my mother has a health problem, she called him again when she thought there was a lot of wind in the home; we believe she was dizzy. Rene promptly examined the boiler and even thoroughly inspected the home as a courtesy visit. He did not find any issues, and my mother was quite happy afterwards. Rene expressed his concern for my mom’s health and has been patient and courteous the entire time. When mom called him again on May 10 due to the same issue, Rene patiently contacted me again. He has truly gone above and beyond for his clients. (We’ve urged my mom again to see a doctor and are relieved she does feel much better again.) The fact Rene is such a great contractor and also truly cares about his clients’ well being is simply fantastic. Thank you so much, Rene!“

“Lori (a new plumber recommended to me) came as scheduled to check on problem with my mixing valve & brought with her a part that could offer a fix. Before she took it apart she suggested I try mixing valve in guest bathroom to see if that showed same problem. It did. She then said problem was not with mixing valve & went to cellar to check out hot water tank. She found the valve to my tankless water heater that had been was on. She turned it off & said wait a few days to see if that fixes the problem & that she would return if it did not. She refused payment saying there wasn't any work for her to do.
It did fix the problem. I put her on my vendor list & won't hesitate to recommend her to family & friends.
