1280 SE Holgate Blvd, Portland“Caring staff who do their best not to freak out my cat, and who don’t rush through appointments.“
8:30AM - 5PM
10400 SE Main St, Milwaukie“My dog is a young senior and had a new murmur with otherwise excellent health. The doctors and staff explained that she should have a full life undeterred by her heart as long as I change her diet to include grains and not include many legumes (beans, peas, and lentils) as it's suspected they may interfere with the absorption of taurine. Studies have not proven this connection yet, so we cannot be certain, but apparently many other dogs they have seen have had their health improve once switching diets. The office is clean and calm and the doctor was happy to thoroughly answer my questions. Thank you!“

195 SE Hazeldell Way suite d, Canby“Have been taking my dogs to Sequoia around 10 years. My last 2 dogs were rescues & had horrible allergies & the vets did all they could to help keep them happy & comfortable. I wouldn't take my new puppy any place else! Also love the fact that my dogs could board at their sister clinic in Woodburn , & that they had access to my dogs health records so I knew that if there were problems, they would be dealt with quickly & I would be kept informed. Unlike other places, in the past, the staff at both places clearly love animals & do their best to make sure my dogs/ puppy have a good experience.“

7AM - 7PM
809 SE Powell Blvd, Portland“Over 17 years, the Rose City crew took care of our loved cat. There was a time after moving to the west side that we went to other places, but never felt we got the same level of care that Rose City gave him. So, we started making the drive back to the east side, and so glad we did.
All the way to assessing his Quality of Life at the end, they treated him and us with dignity, the utmost care, and best intentions for his well-being. Special thank you to Drea, Dr. Beswick, and Hattie for the years of care, and to Dr. Taylor for walking us through his final stage; giving us the time to be with him and take him back home.
Couldn't give them any bigger recommendation for a veterinarian and care service. Thank you.“

17050 Pilkington Rd #210, Lake Oswego“Cat Care Professionals really is the best clinic we've ever been to. We did not know that Cat Only clinics were even a thing and we can't say enough great things about it. When our cat, Angel, passed away a few years ago, they were so supportive, kind, and loving. The front desk is always courteous, they are quick communicators, and Dr Ellingsen always takes the time to respond to us directly via email whenever our other two cats have blood work, or we have questions. SO HAPPY!“

9AM - 12PM
15952 Quarry Rd, Lake Oswego“Way more than 5 stars. I don't even know where to begin.
My 27 year old umbrella cockatoo, Bibi, started showing a lack of appetite one day, so I immediately made an appointment with AMC for the next day. By the end of the day though, she just plummeted and I ended up having to take her to Dovelewis. They kept her alive long enough to make her appointment with AVM, but beyond that it was a horrible experience. The vet there was curt, evasive, and uncompassionate.
When I brought Bibi in on Tuesday, Dr. Schwarzer gathered our information attentively and compassionately, and went over exactly what he was going to do for Bibi. Throughout our conversation, I felt assured that he actually cared about Bibi's outcome as much as I did.
We'd planned on a 4 day hospitalization, but that turned into 14 days as she had already developed secondary heart and lung congestion and further complications. Dr. Schwarzer and Dr. Litner updated me daily as to her progress, showing patience and kindness with all my questions through such a difficult and uncertain time.
In working with the two doctors, I can see that they both love birds immensely, and treat each patient with the utmost care and concern. Even when the prognosis wasn't certain, I still felt that Bibi was in the most capable and caring hands on earth.
I had a few interactions with the techs and can also see that they really care about what they do. Austin, at the front desk, was my first (and most regular) point of contact and was extremely kind and helpful throughout. I am just amazed at what a stellar team this is.
Also, and this is a major consideration for most people, I found the price for services to be extremely reasonable. Birds are not cheap, and bird vet bills are not cheap. But you can tell they are in this for the birds, it's not a cash grab like Dovelewis. They care about providing accessible care for your beloved birb.
Avian Medical Center has proven to be the absolute best option for bird care, I trust them 1000% with my bird's life.“

11376 SE 82nd Ave Suite 602, Portland“The team at Animal Derm are super helpful and always good with my dog. He's a wiggly one and sometimes makes it a challenge to look in his ears. But between the nursing staff and Dr Schuldenfrei it always happens.“
“We have four pugs and started transitioning our kids to Pioneer about a year ago and we could not be happier. They really take the time to listen to what we are observing in our dogs, they are always willing to let us add some care for our dogs that is not what I would consider the norm. We take our old man who is severely arthritic and has seizures to another vet for acupuncture and laser treatments. The only downside for us is that we live in Beaverton and the commute can be a little pain in the bum every now and again, but with the quality care and peace of mind we get...it's worth it!!“

She is consistently compassionate, thorough, knowledgeable, and obviously very experienced. She takes time to explain things and is never rushed with us. 590 3rd St, Lake Oswego“They did an amazing job on our first visit with our Bernese Mountain Dog.
He is a very vocal dog, they knew exactly how to deal with him and did it well.
My parents have been taking their 10-year-old BMD to them ever since moving back here over two years ago. The only regret I have is not going to them sooner.“
8AM - 5:30PM
7637 SW 33rd Ave, Portland“I really, truly do not have enough nice things to say about OREV. My kitty Remi was diagnosed with cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma in October, and on our new vet's reccomendation we chose OREV to see what our options were. Remi had this wound for 2 years, and unfortunately the chain vet we were taking her to prior to our new one did not test for this cancer and it went undiagnosed for a long time.
From the jump, Dr. Collette and all of the surrounding staff were SO compassionate, understanding, and clear. I was given a few options, and all of them were laid out clearly. All of the questions I asked were answered kindly, without judgement. When we chose a treatment plan, we were able to see Dr. Collette often to make sure Remi was handling the medication okay - she was a senior cat, so they took extra care with her.
Dr. Collette kept photos on her phone of Remi's tumor to track the progress, which I thought was above and beyond. She took as much love and care with Remi as any pet parent would want.
Sadly, Remi's treatment did not work, through no fault of OREV's. It was just her time. Dr. Collette was honest with me when I asked what Remi's quality of life looked like without treatment, and provided answers I needed to make my decision. When the service I used for euthanasia reached out to OREV to notify them of Remi's passing, they sent me a card signed by Dr. Collette and all of the staff. It made me cry, but it just further cemented to me how fantastic these people are. I am so glad I entrusted Remi's care to them.“
8AM - 5:30PM
10400 SE Main St, Milwaukie“Beloved Furball, my 17-year-old heart and soul dog, was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma in October 2024. From that moment, I was determined to give him the best care and quality of life possible, and I truly couldn’t have done it without Dr. Freeman and her incredible team at VCSS clinic.
From our very first visit on November 5th, I was touched by the knowledge, patience, and genuine love that everyone at the clinic showed. Losing Furball has been the hardest experience of my life, but I know in my heart that he received the absolute best care every step of the way.
On February 26th, the most difficult day, Dr. Freeman and her team handled everything with such empathy and professionalism. They made sure Furball’s final moments were peaceful, painless, and filled with love. From the gentle blood check to the thorough explanations, Dr. Freeman helped me make the most informed and compassionate decision. The entire process was handled with so much care—giving us enough time to say our goodbyes, ensuring Furball was completely comfortable, and allowing me to be by his side until the very end.
What touched me the most was how Dr. Freeman was not only a vet but a true friend in that moment—she listened to my story with Furball, teared up with me, and comforted me until the clinic closed. Her entire team was there for every detail, making this incredibly painful time just a little easier to bear.
Beyond that day, I want to highlight the outstanding service and dedication I received throughout the four months I brought Furball here. Dr. Freeman was always so responsive, promptly answering my many emails and concerns with patience and expertise. Her knowledge and compassion gave me the strength to navigate Furball’s final chapter, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place for him to receive care. I am forever grateful for the love and dignity they provided to Furball in his final moments and aftercare.
In all, VCSS clinic helped me win precious four months of quality time with Furball , allowing us to cherish every moment together. If you are looking for the best place to treat your pet’s cancer—where expertise, compassion, and love come together—this is the place. Dr. Freeman and her team have unmatched knowledge and genuine care, ensuring that every pet receives not just medical treatment but also the warmth and dignity they deserve. I will forever be grateful for everything they have done for Furball and for me.“
