The workers are able to handle the cats quite well and attend to their every need big or small. I would recommend this as a safe and good place to board your cat.“

He gets excited as soon as we pull off the freeway exit. Virgil definitely knows dogs and I appreciate the no BS attitude with the updates and during the initial evaluation. Dogs connect most when they respect the person in charge and Sampson definitely seems to. He’s always so chill after a visit at Dog Connection. Highly recommend“

17050 Pilkington Rd #210, Lake Oswego“Highly recommend bringing your cats here! I was previously using Banfield and their services are not adequate for senior cats, especially one that has diabetes. Dr. Lynn Healy is knowledgeable, great with handling cats, and I trust her professional opinion. All of the vet staff is friendly, loves/knows cats, and are a joy to work with. The prices might be higher than Banfield, but you're paying for exceptional service that affects your cats longevity.“

7525 N Richmond Ave, Portland“Kirah was absolutely vital in restoring peace in our home. We have two dogs who had always lived together happily, until they didn’t. Our younger dog began overcorrecting and going after our older dog, and it quickly became stressful and honestly scary.
She quickly identified that our younger dog has a more intense temperament and was redirecting her built-up energy and frustration toward our older dog. From there, Kirah gave us a clear, step-by-step path: how to safely intervene, how to help the dogs feel comfortable sharing space again, and how to use verbal cues to manage situations before they escalate.
Beyond the techniques, she taught me how to read each of their body language cues, both the obvious and the subtle, and understand that they communicate differently. That alone has been invaluable.
Kirah didn’t just bring our household back to a manageable place—she improved it. Our home feels calmer, safer, and healthier for all of us. I truly can’t recommend her enough. She is exceptional at what she does.“

But, we have so many options and good ways to teach and work with her. He seems to me like a dog whisperer. Again, I would recommend him to anyone! Joanna and Doug“

They always send me cute pics from the play yard. Tammy, the owner, is Penny’s favorite person there, and Penny gets sooooo excited to see her. Penny has also boarded here and the staff is so careful to only give Penny the special food I bring because of her IBS. I’ve even met and made plans with other dog parents so Penny and their dog are sure to play on the same day.“

8502 SE Stark St, Portland“My dog and I found the 201 training class so valuable! The trainers were approachable, encouraging, and able to meet each member of the class where they were at. My pup can be anxious, and Jaime and Valerie were able to find workarounds and offer guidance around her specific stressors. I already see a noticeable shift in her. Highly recommend!“

8805 SE Stark St, Portland“My 6-yr-old Great Pyrenees got her first grooming ever and she came out looking and smelling fabulous. They were sensitive to her nervousness and were able to groom her without needing to resort to a muzzle. She's much more comfortable without all the extra floof (IYKYK). Beats trying to bathe her myself in my claw foot bathtub! Highly recommend.“

8138 Southwest Beaverton Hillsdale Highway Hillsdale Hwy, Portland“We can’t say enough good things about Steve at The Canine Classroom! Our Cane Corso is as stubborn as they come, and we were starting to feel like nothing was going to work. From the very first session, Steve’s calm, confident, and knowledgeable approach gave us hope. He doesn’t just train the dog, he teaches us how to communicate better and set our pup up for success.
The progress we’ve seen in such a short time is incredible. Our dog is more focused, responsive, and balanced than we ever thought possible, and we finally feel like we have the tools to keep moving forward. Steve is patient, professional, and clearly passionate about what he does.
If you’re struggling with a strong-willed dog, don’t waste time anywhere else. Go see Steve at The Canine Classroom!“

It was difficult to find a good location, fair pricing and someone trustworthy to take care of our pup when we were out of town. Finally we came across Holly’s website and were immediately intrigued. We reached out and Holly was so responsive and caring. We got a meet and greet scheduled right away and it went amazing. Holly and her family are so welcoming and easy to communicate with. It has been such a relief to have found Holly and now we always know we have a reliable plan for where our dog will stay when we need help with her. Our favorite part is the daily photo updates we get from Holly when she is watching our dog ♥️ thank you, Holly!“

4421 NE 79th Ave, Portland“Doug was recommended to me by a trainer I have been using for twenty plus years. My service dog was missing his siblings after their death and had become dog reactive. Doug walked with me to observe what was going on in my neighborhood. He gave me a procedure to follow and in no time my goldendoodle was ignoring other dogs. Once that was perfected around our complex we went to a nearby park and he walked with me to practice on unruly dogs. Gibbs was taking their ill behavior as an opportunity to play. I am in a wheelchair and he adjusted for my disability. He is a very pleasant person to learn from and we both enjoyed our training sessions. My service dog is an important part of my independence and Dougs' extensive knowledge of dog behavior gave us a tune up on how to handle this one issue as well as general helpful hints on everyday life with a 90lb dog.“

We are sending him for several for days of daycare prior to boarding because he is enjoying his days, getting tons of exercise and is behaving better.“

Very affordable for veterinary care, whether it's surgery, prescription, or just checkups. I have actually found that getting prescriptions here is cheaper than online, which is very convenient. They have a great team that is clearly very passionate about their work. I would not go to any other clinic.“

8645 SW Birchwood Rd, Portland“I was feeling at the end of my rope with my 3 year old Golden doodle, Monkey. It seemed getting pulled around on walks and constantly apologizing for his aggression toward other dogs was just something I needed to live with if I was going to have this 90 lb fur ball in my life. One session with Mark completely changed my mindset. I am now working toward being the alpha in this relationship and both Monkey and I are much happier for it. Without sacrificing the love and affection I have for this boy, i find our walks so much more enjoyable as he trots along beside me. Basically Mark provided me with the training and Monkey has followed suit. it was worth every penny. I can't wait for our next session.
I highly recommend LOTP if you are at the end of your rope!“
