“Finding this place, so close to home, and so caring for the pets, has been a blessing. Our pup Bowie was a bit hesitant about day stays at first, but they (the numerous very helpful and compassionate employees) assured us he would warm up, and boy has he. He went from needing to be carried from the car, to now barely containing his excitement coming down the driveway for the all day fun with his dog friends. He's made soooo many, and we see video of his play with his buddies, and just love seeing him have fun with his bigger bros. Then when he comes home, it's lights out all night!“

“I am so happy and grateful to have found Woof-Tastic for my pup, Maya! I have been SO impressed with the kindness of the staff, their communication, and care. The environment is bright and fun and just matches what you read and see online. And I can tell Maya, although still a little timid and shy, is warming up, feeling safe, and having a great time! I feel so relieved and can not reccomend Woof-Tastic enough!“

“I had puppy fever one day and bought a GSD pup from someone in the classifieds. Needless to say that was a huge mistake and my puppy had all sorts of behavior problems. I was going to try and just youtube my way through training but as he got bigger I got worried and reached out for some training.I reached out to 3 different trainers that I found from a google search. All three told me they suggested a 2 week board and train for 2000$ and promised my pup would be fixed.First of all I wasn't looking to just hand off my pup to some stranger to "fix" all his problems. Paul only suggested board and train when we had exhausted other avenues and my pup was still having negative behavior. eventually I did do a two week board and train with Paul and my pup came back with his manners! I was super impressed.Next Paul doesn't guarantee his training is going to "fix" the problem, and this makes so much sense because you cannot predict how the animal is going to learn and what other issues maybe going on. You also can't predict if puppy parents are going to go home and do their homework. I respected the honesty from him on that.Paul has been training and taking care of dogs for 20 plus years! He is knowledgeable, has a huge heart for animals, and is a no BS kind of guy. If you need dog training come see this guy!“

“Without a doubt, the vets, techs and staff at Riverview are the finest veterinary staff I’ve come across in a long lifetime of owning pets. They’re also really kind people! I lucked into finding this practice when I moved up to Vancouver during the Pandemic. The location is convenient and the facility is large, clean and bright. But, truly, it’s the people who keep us coming back. I have had four dogs and three cats as patients of Dr Scott and Dr Lisa. Since we started coming to this vet, my grown children have started bringing in the furry grandbabies as well. We’ve converted neighbors and friends as well who are also amazed by the top-notch care. My animals are so well cared for and every time we come in or call, the entire staff greets us like old friends. I know my animals are cared for and respected. I really appreciate the common sense approach to veterinary medicine mixed with the latest data and treatments. My eldest dog passed away somewhat unexpectedly from a stroke at home a few weeks ago. The entire staff at Riverview has been enormously empathetic and they’ve gone out of their way to ease my grief. It means the world to me that these people take the loss of a much beloved pet so seriously. I will continue to sing high praises of Riverview Animal Hospital to anyone listening!“

“I was anxiously trying to find a dog trainer, less than 2 weeks before I had to go into a double lung surgery. My dog Blaze, was a hard leash puller, and overall, had terrible puppy manners, and I didn't want him ripping my stitches open after my surgery. So, after tons of searching, I came across University K9, spoke with Chris, and he made me feel confident in his ability to get Blaze trained and had him ready to go once I got out of surgery! Blaze is very well mannered now, and does well on and off leash! He's a Labrador Retriever, but, is so calm (unless he's playing fetch, his favorite pastime)....and has never chewed on anything other than his toys, hardly barks, and loves big! Blaze, has boarded with University K9 and will be boarding again soon, and runs through the door in excitement, ready for his staycation.....and cleaned and ready to go at pickup when we get back, happy as ever! Very happy with University K9 and it's the only place I've used for training and boarding, and I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else!“

“Absolutely amazing! We were at our whits end with our husky puppy. Our children were both scared of him after too many times being knocked over and nipped. We took him to the 2 week board and train, and he is a completely different dog! He is loving and listens great, even though he’s still only 5 months old. My kids are quickly getting over their fears and growing the bond we hoped they would have. Best money we have ever spent!“

“Absolutely amazing people. My older dog has become more of a homebody as she ages. During her last stay, she had a really rough time and needed a lot of special care. I couldn’t get an earlier flight home to get her, so they did the best they could to make her feel loved. They kept me updated, kept her close at the reception/office, and tried to find ways to get her to eat and exercise. Our other dog is only 3 and is a doodle with tons of spare energy and very little impulse control when she’s excited. She always gets excited when we pull into the parking lot… she loves the staff and tries to jump over the dog gate to get into the facility when we drop her off. They take her energy in stride and she’s always happy when we pick her up.Best place we have found to keep our dogs. I trust them to do what’s best for the dogs and to keep the hoomans updated throughout the stay.“

“This review is about the groomers ONLY. The rest of the store is a pretty standard pet store chain. We brought our dog Chunk here on accident, thinking it was the correct location when really I was supposed to be at the Chkalov location. Devynn ended up helping us. Our dog Chunk is an extremely anxious dog, pretty strong, and is very wiggly. Luckily he’s not at all aggressive and is actually very submissive. But grooming him is very difficult, especially if he’s not comfortable with you. Devynn was able to do his nails while we were there, just to get kind of a status check on what Chunk is like. We set up an appointment for a later time and brought him back, and Devynn was ready for it. She took him back and within an hour and a half, he was bathed, de shedded, nails trimmed, ears cleaned, smelling fancy, and best of all, he was happy.Just for reference, our previous groomer decided to stop grooming Chunk because he was “too strong and put his teeth on” her. I have no problem with her deciding not to groom him anymore if she’s not comfortable with that, though his teeth on her is him being mouthy from anxiety, not actual biting. But she doesn’t know that, so I get it. They just did not vibe at all, and that’s okay.Devynn, however, was beyond amazing with him. I witnessed Chunk doing the mouthy thing when we were trying to switch to his harness from their leash and I was shocked and worried, but she just moved his head away and gently reprimanded him, and he stopped. He LOVED her. That in and of itself is already so great, but add to that the fact that she somehow groomed him SO well that he didn’t drop one loose hair for over a week since the groom. Prior to that he was an absolute hurricane of shedding hair, it was awful. The house is full of it. You even look at him and he drops hair. Devynn did the most amazing bathe and groom on Chunk that I’ve ever seen in four or five groomers. Prior to the last one, his other groomers had shut down or left the company, so we kept having to find new ones. She also recommended some good products in the store to help with his itchy skin. I will follow Devynn everywhere, seriously.“
