“Fascinating. We have lived here since November 1977. Just in the last few months started smelling sewer smell in bathroom and laundry room. I hired Main Line Plumbing Service to come out and look and fix. Turns out there was no p-traps on the laundry drain or the bathtub. Why did it take 40 some years to start smelling? Weird. Took him less then an hour to crawl under the home to do the tub and the one in the laundry room wall. Super great price too. We no longer smell the sewer we also no longer here the water draining. We were working through our home insurance after noticing a loud noise coming from our water heater and water collecting in the drain pan underneath. I even posted about it in a community Facebook group, and nearly everyone advised that the water heater likely needed to be replaced. The first plumbing company sent by our insurance took less than a minute to look at it and immediately said the unit needed to be fully replaced—even though it was only two years old. We were told this could cost us up to $1,200 out of pocket, despite already having spent about $800 previously to bring it up to code. After pushing the issue, we were advised that since the unit was still under manufacturer warranty, another company would come out. That’s when Gardner Plumbing Co. sent Mitchell. Mitchell took his time, thoroughly inspected every component, and truly assessed the situation rather than jumping to conclusions. He identified that the issue was not the water heater itself, but a hose at the top that had slipped and was causing the leaking and condensation, which in turn created the noise and water buildup. A small adjustment and minor fix later—no more noise, no more leaking, and the water heater was in perfect working condition. What stood out the most was Mitchell’s honesty and professionalism. He easily could have recommended a replacement like others did, but instead he relied on his expertise and integrity. Because of him, we avoided an unnecessary replacement and likely saved around $1,200, which makes a huge difference—especially during the holidays. “No one likes having to call a contractor to fix something broken, but if you need your well repaired, these are the folks to call. Lost water late at night, called first thing in the morning. They had a tech on his way within 30 minutes, once he arrived it took him 30-40 minutes to diagnose and repair the issue. Very fair pricing, amazingly fast service, professional staff.
