“ting Toronto for business, our first order of business was to find a yoga/meditation studio! Wow, did my friend choose well! This is a hidden gem! We attended the Candlelight meditation restorative yoga session on a Tuesday night and since it was our first time, class was only $15! After a long day of travel, we were so looking forward to this! We were greeted by a sweet guy who saw we were new and showed us “the ropes” right away! I love the programmable lockers for your belongings and the facilities are clean and spacious. The room is so inviting! They provide yoga mats, boosters, blocks, blankets and even eye pillows! The instructor, Tanya, was so knowledgeable and gentle with her instruction. The poses were very accessible and she offered assistance and modifications where needed. The music and candles really set the mood! Even though the class was full, it was very chill. If I lived in the area, this would be a regular spot for me! If you have the chance to stop in for a class, do it!!!“

“Toronto Yoga Co. is a welcoming, fun studio with friendly participants. Instructors are excellent, providing detailed instruction, encouragement and fun for all participants. I take reformer and barre classes at this studio and always come out smiling. I like how, even within a class, instructors take the time to provide instruction for participants with different levels of experience. Young or older--all are welcome. Happy times :)“

“There was a $15 for 15 day trial that I took advantage of, and I was hooked! This is the best exercise I have ever done in my life. And I am a pretty fit human. All of the teachers are amazing and have their own unique classes, so you get something different every time you go. I'm never bored!I also have some knee issues due to a torn ACL and replacement, and some shoulder issues. The far infrared light is so soothing and has helped me immensely with inflammation. I've been here for almost 2 months and I feel so strong! And I'm shedding some unwanted lbs ? The yoga and deep stretch classes have a focus on meditation which has helped me go within and feel more peaceful. Best news is I can finally do a childs pose and my glutes can touch my feet after 2+ years of injury and surgery recovery. Thanks to this amazing studio and Ronit, the Owner, who is welcoming and kind, just like all the people who greet you upon arrival. You would not regret joining this studio!“

“Breathe yoga studio is a great place to practice and find new friends. I joined the studio in 2019 and tried a variety of different classes. My favourite style is Mysore; Breathe has a great Mysore program for beginners and advanced students. Recently the studio moved to a new place which is nice, bright and quiet. You can practice with your yoga fellows and enjoy a cup of tea after. Breathe studio is a dedicated yoga studio with professional teachers and a friendly community. I highly recommend it.“

“Got an assessment, acupuncture, massage and was shown stretches to help my lower back pain all in the first session. Everything helped pretty much immediately. I went for a follow up the next week and was given some more stretches. Continually doing these I've pretty much fixed all my issues. Couldn't be happier“

“Krystle Thordarson is the absolute best massage therapist I have ever met. I was so lucky to get my first appointment with her a few years ago and I now will only see her. She is amazing at her job, professional, kind, courteous and a beautiful person. She goes above and beyond every single time and I cannot thank her enough. My experience each time is better than the last time I don't know how she does it, but she manages to out-do herself every time. I have taken my mother and a few of my friends to her too. This studio, along with its two sister locations (Modo Yoga Lawrence Park and Modo Yoga St Clair West), feels like my second home! I've been a dedicated student of Modo Yoga for a long time (since the Moksha Yoga days). The instructors are exceptional, and the class options cater to a wide spectrum, from gentle to advanced. “I have attended Pure Yoga for a month and I will say it is okay. I have over ten years of experience and practiced and taught in India, Bali, and all over Canada so I have a fair bit of knowledge.I would give most classes a 3 to 4 out of 5 with Brad’s Power class being a 5/5. I appreciate that he will provide adjustments to your alignment and there is a positive energy in this class and no music. He doesn’t focus on his practice but is quite attentive to the students.Overall, classes are very crowded and most practitioners are not aligned correctly and there are little to no adjustments being done. It might be post Covid that instructors are hesitant but it is something I notice. I also do not like the loud music. In particular there was a class where cardio was incorporated and dance music which took me out of my zen. I also do not get a strong sense of community here.I wish there was pranayama and meditation to accompany the practice rather than to just focus on asanas.Overall, I highly recommend Brad’s class if you want a more authentic practice. If you like the dance music and only a good workout the other classes could be for you.I have found most satisfaction in my own practice but will continue to try and find a studio that resonates with me more.“

“This is my go to gym since I came here in Canada, they got basketball courts lots of equipment and they got Sauna aswell. One thing I want to request if they could clean the washroom properly. And fix the equipment like the sled. That would be awesome.“
