You know you’ve got a great teacher when you follow them around from studio to studio and over a good many years!
That’s what you receive from this woman, a professional dance instructor able to impart to others of all ages and ability, in a most uplifting manner, an art form and technique where the dancer is the stuff of which it is made. And let me say that I was not alone in becoming a follower, there were several others who valued Ms. Plettell-Chevrier’s prowess.
I have known Vanessa Plettell-Chevrier for 43 years. I came to know her as a skilled, caring, generous, nurturing, talented teacher and professional dancer. Before establishing her own studio in 1988, Vanessa taught locally at a few other dance studios and gymnastics clubs. I was so taken by her ability, knowledge, skill, artistry, showmanship, and genuine caring for others that I followed her so as to benefit from her expertise. I was one of the pioneers of her Jazz classes when her school opened.
She made classes fun, had a great sense of humour, which she injected into her choreographies, and honoured each student regardless of skill level, giving them individualized attention, and their own moments in the spotlight at her annual productions, which incorporated dance, theatre, and voice, complete with sets and lights which framed the choreographies and positively influenced the way the movements were perceived. Her students have also performed at various National Capital events.
I would be remiss in not mentioning that Ms. Plettell-Chevrier went the extra mile to ensure that scholarships were in place to assist dancers, and many other things she has done quietly over the years to assist her dancers and their families. God knew what He was doing when he placed this vocation in her heart and mind!

Truthfully the best mechanic. I can list every reason but mainly he’s the most reliable mechanic I’ve ever met. It would be hard to find another mechanic works really hard, solves issues with full confidence, and reliable when you really need him. His name is Waheed and has a really good personality as well. My girl celebrated her 11th birthday here and had THE BEST TIME! We came for ice cream manis, and pedis - a first for them. I crashed the party and had my nails and toes done with them too. The place is adorable, the staff are just amazing. It was such a great experience all around. I love also that they use kid safe products, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services or go back again!
Very happy with the cut I got from Alex. He understood what I was looking for without complication, and I trusted him to shape my beard up and just do 'what he thinks would look best' and I'm glad I did. This is for my wedding so it was important and I would recommend paying the little extra compared to other barbershops if you would like a cut above.

I visited Pat today for a color correction and I couldn’t be happier with the results. He fixed the orange tones in my hair that were caused by a very bad experience at another salon. We had our driveway redone and some intricate and pleasant-looking interlock designed and installed by Land N'Scape a few years back. It still looks great and we often get compliments. Highly recommend this company.On 2020 we had Land N'Scape back to put in a walkway at the side of the house that leads from the driveway to the back yard. Hello, I brought my mother’s dog today and they did an amazing job. He was a hard dog to deal with, but they did amazing. I strongly recommend them.
