“I am an extremely anxious person, especially when it comes to my eyes. I’ve had glasses since I was in kindergarten and didn’t start wearing contacts until my freshman year of college where I was so scared to put them in and take them out that it took me three hours to remove my first set of contact lenses on the first day. But I was determined to wear contacts because I hated glasses so much. I wore contacts for 10 years And paid thousands of dollars because I needed daily wear contacts. This year when I needed to Buy my yearly supply of contacts I contemplated the price and the price of Lasik.
After a couple of months, debating whether or not it could be worth it. I decided to get a free consultation just to see the process. By the end of that consultation, I felt confident enough that this was something I could potentially do and not be worried about it so I scheduled an appointment for five months out. I was too scared to do it sooner, but I also wanted to make sure I had the funds to do it. They reached out and said hey do you wanna save a little extra money by moving your appointment up a little bit sooner and I said sure why not I like to save money. Soon they had an appointment within a week and I knew that if I didn’t do it, I probably would never get the surgery done.
I have never been so scared of anything in my life, but I was determined to do this because I knew it would be Life-changing. The first night after the surgery was probably the most uncomfortable I’ve ever felt and scared because I live alone and had no one to lean on. But the next morning I woke up and I could see clearly, and it was like I had been healed by Jesus Christ himself. It has been just over a week since my surgery and I do not have any uncomfortable dryness or itchiness and I’ve been able to see clearly and it’s the most incredible thing I’ve ever done. Was it scary? Yes, it was terrifying. But the surgery was so quick and the results afterwards are the best decision I’ve ever made.”
