Jordan was unbelievable. We were blown away by the level of detail and thoughtfulness that went into our engagement shoot. Jordan and I had multiple phone calls to plan out the surprise engagement, and he captured everything perfectly. He was experienced, fun and professional. We had a couples massage with Mel and Kat. Absolutely wonderful! Great experience and priced far better then resort spa for an exceptional massage.
Zoe & the space at The Studio Upstate are incredible! We attended a private pole dancing class while we were visiting Lake Placid for our Women’s Retreat and it was truly a highlight of our trip! Zoe was so professional (and STUNNING) and made our experience fun and approachable. I would strongly suggest checking out her studio and supporting this amazing business!
It's probably the massage I ever had. I am an athlete who gets a massage on a regular basis, and I can honestly say Anne is amazing. I am not t local to the area. Otherwise, I will see her on a regular basis.
Sarah is a gem! She did my hair for my wedding and it came out perfect! My hair is always frizzy and doesn't hold curls well, but she managed to make it beautiful and last the full day. Even 12 hours later, my hair looked exactly the same. I'd highly recommend for any Adirondacks wedding!

I visited lake placid from Canada on 2024 new years and had the worst back pain I have ever experienced. I couldn’t walk or stand more than 20sec. I googled and found Dr. John called his office and his lovely wife booked me in for the same day!I was so nervous as in the past I visited over 5 different Chiropractors and non of them helped my situation. John welcomed me in to his office listening to my story and list of issues and done his magic nothing short of absolutely amazing job! I couldn’t not believe how amazing I felt after his treatment !! Within 10-15min after I could stand, walk and felt like a human again. I booked another appointment right away before my return to Toronto and again John worked done the magic..I would like to thank John and his wife for everything they done for me. If you are in lake placid area and feel any pain please don’t hesitate and pay them a visit you won’t be disappointed!! 5+ stars service.Thank you again, Gadi.
Very pleased with the arborist work Nehemiah Hildreth did on behalf of White Barn Design today at Green Goddess Natural Market in Lake Placid. Very informative, gave me ideas for future planning. Also drops a tree on a dime. Thanks so much for leaving the bucked wood and the tree limbs all neatly stacked, and for the science lesson about trees communicating with each other.Service: Landscaping

I can’t say enough about how wonderful Amber & the team at RR is. My hair was absolutely perfect for my wedding. Amber was super flexible and helpful in planning, and helped refer me to Liz Cole for makeup (who was ALSO amazing!). The day-of went super smoothly and we finished hair & makeup with plenty of time. Highly recommend!!
This locally owned business is top notch! Lance was immediately responsive to see what needed to be done and provided us with an estimate immediately. We booked and they gave us a date and were right on schedule! I would recommend to anybody!!

What a breath of fresh air! I spoke to Debbie & Jillian to schedule an appointment with Dr. Small. Both were personable, helpful & knowledgeable. It was all about customer service which was lacking in the two previous doctor offices that I reached out to in an attempt to schedule an appointment.

While in Lake Placid for a lacrosse tournament, a molar that had been giving me pain for months finally cracked. My own dentist had retired, and I couldn't get seen at home in the Hudson Valley until September — this was July. On a whim, I called Dr. Mara Mariana’s office, frustrated and desperate. Despite being fully booked, they got me in within 24 hours.
Dr. Mariana was kind, professional, and hands-down the best dentist I’ve seen in my 53 years. She quickly assessed the situation, explained my options clearly, and performed a painless extraction — all within 20 minutes. I made it to my son’s game an hour later, and days later I’m still pain-free for the first time in months.
Her staff was equally wonderful — compassionate and helpful. Her assistant even recommended a local historic bridge and swimming hole that became a surprise highlight of our trip. I never thought a dental visit would be one of the best parts of our short stay in Lake Placid, but it absolutely was. I’d drive 3.5 hours to see her again if I could!
Dr Flanigan saved our dog's life! She cared deeply about Molly's welfare and treated her as if she were her own dog. We will be forever grateful to her because she saved our Molly's life. Her entire staff was warm and welcoming and also truly cared about Molly's well being. Thank you, Lake Placid Animal Hospital for all you do for our pets!

Had options to sub in tofu and vegan cheese on a bagel for a “egg & cheese” bagel! Really appreciate that this place was here. They also did have tempeh option. You place your order at a kiosk. They also had soups, and baked goods that looked really good. Updated from previous review on 2026-03-22
