“My primary vetinarian went out of business and Dr. K took over caring for my dog who has many health issues. He and his staff are great. The transition was flawless and all of my dog's health needs were met. Everyone on the staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. K is very knowledgeable and explains things thoroughly. He does not push unnecessary procedures on you to make money. Dr. K is a great vetinarian and I would highly recommend him to anyone in the area.“

“Mid Island Animal Hospital is a Veterinary practice and hospital that goes above and beyond. I wanted to share this experience so others, who love their animals, would know about how wonderful the care is at Mid Island Animal Hospital. I have been taking my golden retriever puppy there since she was 12 weeks old. Recently, my 17 month old dog stopped eating and was just sleeping all day which was not like her at all. I thought maybe she had a stomach parasite or some other simple issue. We were taken that same day and seen by Dr. Stephanie Acevedo. Dr. Acevedo was extremely professional, knowledgeable, patient, kind, and compassionate. She understood we were in shock and upset with the test results and she took the time to explain everything several times. She never rushed us out or made us feel bad about asking so many questions. She was so knowledgeable and compassionate. She was just great with my dog. The dog required emergency surgery and Dr. Acevedo arranged everything with the surgeon so that the procedure went smoothly. She guided and helped us through this difficult and stressful time. Thank God that the surgery was a success and my girl will be just fine. Huge thank you to Dr. Acevedo for saving my girl. I must also add that the Vet techs and front office personnel are just amazing. They treat both pets and families with kindness and respect. From beginning to end, this practice takes care of and goes above and beyond for their patients. Your family is in good hands at Mid Island Animal Hospital. They consistently show an incredibly high degree of care and thoughtfulness at every visit. They are also extremely competent and effective in their treatment plans. My dog originally had hip dysplasia in both hips. I elected to have her get left FHO in April 2024 when she was still young. She goes to PT weekly Tuesdyas and Fridays ever since then. She also recently had right FHO about 2 weeks ago as well.

The entire surgery team and physical therapy team has been very amazing and supportive the entire way. Victoria and Riley both answer any questions I have and give recommendations as well as show me how to do all the at home exercises for my dog.

I have an older cat ,fluffy who has been in their care for several years for routine exams, treatments, and recently serious dental and surgical procedures. Dr. Blauvelt and Dr. Tundo took extra time to explain everything involved before any of the procedures were done, with reassuring confidence on the probable outcome. I would highly recommend this business and team of experts to care for your beloved pet.“

“I live an hour out from West Babylon Animal Hospital and yet there was no other place no matter how close that I would’ve wanted to bring my baby girl. Dr. Sree and his team took the utmost care of my little fur baby. She did nit make it as she was just too sick, but I am so grateful to know that in her final days she was surrounded by nothing but love. I highly recommend, not even just because they are a fairly priced animal hospital, but because they treat your babies like they are their babies. Never once did I feel like my little girl was neglected or not cared about. They tried and tried and that’s the energy you need for these little animals that can’t speak up for themselves.

“Been going to Dr Heller for over 15 years since he saved my Scottie and gave us two and a half more years with him when my then regular vet offered no options for his oral tumor. He's been to our home to help put our dog down when the time came. He treated my Finny through his whole wonderful life. I have recommended him to many of my friends. Next week I will be bringing our new rescue Nessie to him and wouldn't go anywhere else.“

Last edit: my puppy girl passed away on Friday. I want to thank dr perfetto and the rest of the staff for showing us so much compassion and care for my baby girl. It was the hardest day of my life and I’m so thankful that they made the process hurt a little less. Thank you“
