Getting close to retirement I knew that if my wife Lynn and I didn't change our lifestyle we would spend our retirement in the waiting room at the doctors office and in line at the pharmacy.After our initial consultation in May 2019 we knew we made the right decision. We work out three times a week and love it. The trainers do all the thinking for us (unlike a gym where it's up to you to figure it out) and are always encouraging us. Derek is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to fitness, eating properly, and even how to sleep properly and he is always willing to share this. I knew things were going well when early on I was able to tie my shoes and walk up the stairs without huffing and puffing and I was able to start using the unused holes on my belt! Lynn and I both lost about 40 pounds in about 6 months and have been able to maintain it ever since. We both feel great and have way more energy than ever! I've bought clothes sizes that I haven't fit into for 30 years! I'm really excited that I could wear my favorite sport jacket that I bought at Riverside Mens Shop in the mid '80s! Needless to say going to Dr Derek has changed our lives and we are so grateful for it! If you need to change directions in your life make an appointment to see Derek. You'll never regret it.It's now been three years since we started and the weight is still off and we both feel great! Investing in ourselves has been paying big dividends! I can't imagine where we'd be if we didn't make the decision to start coming here three years ago. We have three new trainers and they're amazing! Ryan,Chris and Colm have been designing new and challenging workouts that really make you sweat! Investing in yourself is the best investment that you could ever make!“

Although I train one on one with her, the other trainers, Jill and Savanah, and the people they train make the environment inclusive. They combine facts and information with tips on general de-escalation with practicing moves for a specific attack that changes each class. It's a little bit of a workout with good music and you feel the positive vibes that accompany this place. I would attend regular classes if it was closer to me, but the women's seminars are free and worth inquiring about!“

42 Riley St Suite 100, East Aurora“I joined Snap Fitness because of a head on collision that I was involved in. A kid crossed over and hit me head on my side. I was driving and he was at a high rate of speed and distracted. Land me in a trauma center for over 30 days and rehab for over 30 days. I gained a lot of weight and two new words were added to my Dr’s description of my health issues. Morbidity Obese. Both ankles were crushed, left leg was broken that included Fibia-Tibia and Femur, neck and sternum and ribs not to mention the force put on my hands holding the wheel.
The above is why I joined Snap Fitness. Silver Sneaker program through my insurance is one of the other reasons.
I signed up and due to all my rebuilt body parts I needed help so I wouldn’t damage my “new” body or set myself farther back. This is where Jesse Gruber comes in to play. He is the most friendly, knowledgeable,professional trainer. He is always upbeat and positive and knows exactly how to work with each individual need I have with my physical limitations in just starting out in this new journey of mine. He truly knows how to start you that you won’t fail or hurt yourself or just over do. He knew exactly how to start me out and I honestly look forward to my session’s with Jesse. I highly recommend him. He is amazing.
The gym is clean, bright and pleasant. Nicki the manager is so friendly and supportive. Always friendly and helpful and cheerful and keeps the gym running in tip top shape. I totally enjoy and grateful I followed through with joining Snap Fitness in East Aurora.“

I've worked with two other personal trainers over the past several years, and I can say in complete sincerity, Jeremy offers the best fit for me. I really enjoy my workouts and how hard he pushes me to achieve my fitness goals. I've had the opportunity to be introduced to some of his other training clients either as they're leaving at the start of my session or coming in as I'm heading out the door. Everyone is extremely friendly, and I am truly amazed by the diverse clientele. He's got clients in their 80s coming to the gym to work out with him! I've seen men and women of all ages and fitness levels walking through those doors.
3 To Be Fit offers classes, but I can only speak to the one-on-one training. I'm not a "class" girl. (Classy? Mostly. Classes? Not my thing.) If you just realized your doctor was saying, "exercise" and not "extra fries," I absolutely suggest you come see Jeremy for some personal training. If you think you can't work out because you've got a bad back/neck/wrist/leg, think again. I'm in need of another go-round of my bilateral carpal tunnel surgery because my wrists are wrecked. I've had a spinal fusion on my L5/S1. I have compartment syndrome, which makes my legs get super-cramped at the most inconvenient times. Still, Jeremy finds exercises to work around these things. Some days I can do the sets he has planned for me, and other days I need him to adjust because my wrists can't take the weight. He was also sure to tell me from the beginning that if I absolutely hate a certain exercise, we will find something else to work that same muscle group. In other words, if you hate jumping rope, he'll let you skip it. If you're not into weights, but love books, I'll bet he'll let you lift dictionaries to add some definition to those muscles!
If you're a military veteran, there are discounts. I'm pretty sure he's got something through Independent Health as well. Myself, I pay the full price because it's worth it. I mean, if it weren't for Jeremy, I wouldn't be where I am today -- putting the BUFF in Buffalo. Okay, I'll stop now.“
