“I am a Sensei myself. Recently I had the pleasure of teaching a seminar alongside Mitchell Sensei. All cards on the table, we have known each other for years now, but even so, I thought maybe I would include my comments that I sent to him privately:

“Just wanted to let you know that I think you’re a great instructor, not just a Sensei. Was listening to you as you taught beginners and advanced students during seminars. People at our level can cut just fine but not everyone can actually communicate how to cut to someone of lower rank and even fewer can tailor their advice to the person they are teaching. I consider you in the highest category”

Unsolicited. Sensei Noah Mitchell is my friend, but even among friends there exists professional…courtesy?..but also professional…review. Critique. Criticism.

“Hudson Valley Karate is our second home!!! My son started in January 2022. The next month in February which is family appreciation month every year where family members get to train for free for the month!! I decided to train along side my son to help support him and I fell in love with the program and the rest is history!!! Now A year and half later we will be at a red rank level in a short few months and on the same track to becoming a black belt together!!! This is not just a school, it’s an entire community from the little karate rangers to adults.
