“Zumba with Fiona~
I took a zumba class here last week but I was a little reluctant since I haven’t worked out in years. But, I had so much fun! The class flew by. Fiona was energetic and super nice. I liked the atmosphere and her song selections. I very much enjoyed the class and would definitely recommend this class and space!“

“I came to Knosis seeking help for chronic pelvic pain, and found relief here. Both Liudmila as well as the front desk staff were incredible in working with my needs and providing me with care.

I want to especially shout out Liudmila - she is an amazing pelvic floor physical therapist. She is warm, patient, and super knowledgeable. She is great at identifying not only the imbalances in the area of your pain, but also the bigger imbalances happening in your entire body and movement patterns that are contributing to your pain. I am a more complex case, and she took me on with enthusiasm, curiosity, and joy.

I highly recommend her to anyone else struggling with pelvic floor imbalances and pain! She is amazing.“

“I booked a package at IMX Pilates while visiting New York City, as I didn't want to miss my workout routine.

From the very start, the service was excellent - the manager helped me choose the best package for my needs and even offered me a complimentary introductory class.

All the instructors are fantastic, especially Maile, with whom I had a private session. She was incredibly attentive and gave me valuable corrections to my form and movement that will help refine my Pilates practice going forward.

I also picked up a few pairs of their adorable Pilates socks, which I’ll cherish when I'm back in London.

I'll definitely return to IMX Pilates on my next trip to New York!“

“I’ve had an amazing experience at Club Pilate in classes The instructors such as Jackie, Nina, Candace, Jacob, Annah, Danielle, and Tara are not only highly knowledgeable and professional, but they also take the time to tailor each session to individual needs and fitness levels. The atmosphere is welcoming and uplifting because of Marissa and Olivia at the front desk. The studio is always clean and well-equipped. I’ve noticed significant improvements in my strength, flexibility, and posture since joining. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, this is the perfect place to challenge your body and clear your mind. I always leave feeling refreshed and motivated!“

“Carolina's hot yoga class is THE best! Would love to have her in the mix more esp for evening and weekend classes. Her cues are easy to follow and you'll be challenged for the entire hour. Kate at front desk is super sweet and always welcomes everyone with a smile. Staff is generally v nice.
4-star bc some classes tend to start late because we have to wait for late-comers which doesn't really make sense to me...“

“I love the instructors at Club Pilates. My favorite instructors are Peter, Michele, and Deborah. Peter and Deborah are great teachers, especially for beginners; I definitely recommend them. Michele is fun, but I wouldn’t recommend her if you are just starting out. Once you get into the rhythm of things, you can definitely take her classes. Peter and Deborah will make sure you are doing the movements correctly and working the muscles you are supposed to be working and are more hands on compare to Michele. Peter and Deborah are phenomenal instructors in this regard. I love them! I’m sad that Deborah is no longer at the Clifton location, which I go to exclusively, even though I have an unlimited membership. I’ve been going to Club Pilates for almost 3 years now and have mostly worked out with these three instructors. I say it all the time: I am still a member because of the instructors; they are phenomenal!

However, to be honest, the management sucks! I hate the 12-hour cancellation policy; it’s a bit excessive. I’ve always complained that maybe 4 hours is a better time frame because a lot can happen in 12 hours, and they are not flexible with this rule. You can have an emergency, and they will still charge your card, and you have to fight about what constitutes an emergency. That’s the only downside; other than that, the studio is clean, and everything else is fine.

Also, when you pause your membership, they charge you a fee for pausing, and you cannot pause for an extended period of time (I believe 6 months is the max). I had a bad case of a pinched nerve that required physical therapy. Even with a doctor’s note and after paying the pause fee for months, they wouldn’t let me continue to pause after a certain period. Once I was better and cleared by my doctor to start working out, they had canceled my membership, which was cheaper, and I had to reinstate and pay the newer price, which was very frustrating. If I wasn’t coming back, why would I pay the pause fee every month? Like I said, management is the only problem you’d encounter at club Pilates, but other than that, the instructors are great. I am still here because of them and also because there is no competition in the area. If there was, maybe they would be a little more flexible, but they’ve kind of monopolized all the neighborhoods around me. Lol. I definitely recommend it if you don’t mind dealing with the management, like me, to get the benefit of having great instructors. As you can see almost all the bad reviews are with management and to be honest nothing has been done differently. The instructors are great but nobody wants to be always fighting with management. The Clifton manager is very cold and unfriendly. Hope they do some reform and listen to some of the complaints and try to find a happy medium.“

Central Park Physical Therapy Pilates

“I’ve visited numerous popular physical therapy clinics in NYC —for everything from back and knee injuries to arthritis. But working with Central Park Physical Therapy (30 E 60th) has been, by far, the most healing and empowering experience I’ve had.

They have all the advanced equipment you’d expect, but the real differentiator is the one-on-one, personalized sessions. You’re not passed off to assistants or put on autopilot machines. You get real care, real time, every time.

My therapist is Rik Misiura , a former competitive triathlete who once led one of New York’s largest physical therapy organizations, treating athletes, dancers, and movie stars alike. These days, he works more exclusively, bringing his mastery to clients who are serious about getting better.

Rik brings an incredible range of approaches to each session, from Pilates-based movement, resistance training, and soft tissue release to breathwork and sound therapy. Every session is different because he actually listens to what your body needs that day. Somehow, he always gets it exactly right.

He also has a few secret techniques - a fusion of Eastern and Western methods - that will quite literally knock your socks off. You’ll walk in stiff or hurting, and leave grounded, realigned, painless and feeling great.

There’s something amazing about the breathwork he incorporates too, subtle but powerful, often unlocking deeper patterns in the nervous system. And at the end of each session, he offers optional sound healing: a moment of quiet integration that feels like a full reset.

His presence is calm, focused, and deeply attuned and he also has a great sense of humor, which makes the sessions not just healing but genuinely enjoyable. It’s rare to find a group with such deep expertise and genuine compassion, and I highly recommend Rik and Central Park PT. They even make house calls if you need them. If you’re looking for someone who can help you feel better, move better, and reconnect with your body on every level, I can’t recommend Central Park PT highly enough.“

“When I came to Rebecca I was unable to work as a nurse, go out to eat (restaurant chairs-ouch), or really function due to severe back pain and scoliosis.
I had done PT for MONTHS, which made things worse instead of better. I even saw 2 of the ‘best’ PTs in the city who were referred to me by my concierge doctor.
When I came to Rebecca, I was anxious and desperate-but she was patient and responsive to what caused pain. Through trial and error, she helped me find the few exercises that could help strengthen my body and we began with those. Slowly I progressed, and the pain dissipated. I couldn’t believe it! Instead of generic exercises prescribed by PT (bird dogs-you can’t do a bird dog correctly without core strength!!!!), she helped build my body up from feet to pelvis to core to shoulders to head!
Fast forward 2 months and I cannot believe what we have accomplished. I’m so strong and have developed routines I can do independently, which she encourages. I’m doing things I’ve never been able to do! Not to mention there’s a great side effect of looking physically fit too. I don’t know what I would’ve done without Rebecca.

Long story short, Pilates with Rebecca is the answer. Good luck to all the other back pain sufferers out there-you CAN get better!“

“I just want to take a moment to share that I attended a class at Club Pilates in West New York, “CP Reformer Flow” with Nicole.
Nicole is amazing and a fantastic addition to your team of instructors. I wish she would be teaching more classes and not just subbing from time to time.
I’m not the only one in the class that felt this way because others were singing her praises as well after class. I know at times, some people are very quick to complain but I much rather take the time to compliment! Without any reservations, Nicole deserves a shout out!??“

“I did Pilates sessions with Halle at Mongoose twice a week for 10 months prior to having spine surgery in order to be as strong as I could beforehand. Now, over two months post-surgery I’m back to working out on the reformer and other equipment as part of my rehab program. I know I am safe thanks to Halle’s careful observations of my body as I go through the various movements and her insightful cues to get just the right muscles to fire. Her studio in SoHo is well equipped and is a peaceful sanctuary for my Pilates practice. I am grateful for her skills.“
