2 Gurney Terrace, Fair Lawn“It is my pleasure to give an enthusiastic endorsement to Marina Belkin as a piano teacher. Her Believe in Music Studio is an inspiring experience, with instruments mounted on the walls from all over the world. Marina is uniquely talented as a musician and teacher of music! She strives to instill the deep passion she feels for music into each student, whether young or old, beginner or advanced. While Marina is quite focused on technique, rhythm, and having her students feel the music, she also makes her lessons fun. She is patient, encouraging, and compassionate. It is wonderful to have the chance to learn from such an extraordinary piano teacher. - Linda Keesing“

7316 Bergenline Ave 2nd floor, North Bergen“Our son has been going to PY rock in North Bergen for a year now and we love it. I knew we were in good hands when I heard kids playing modern cool music and we met the teacher - Abraham. Abraham really took his time to teach our son some basics about music and how it’s everywhere. He’s also super patient and kind. My son loves him and we love the school. I hope they implement DJ classes soon as I think that would be a super cool skill and song writting.“

He has been an incredible teacher, and my kids have not only learned so much, but have genuinely developed a love for piano. Watching their growth and confidence has meant a great deal to us, and we are so grateful for the time, care, and dedication he has given them.“

190 Westwood Ave., Westwood“Fast forward 25 years after decades of in again/off again guitar lessons when I was younger. I started taking guitar lessons with Vinny in October 2024 and have loved the experience thus far. He’s made music theory finally click. And his teaching style works with the way I learn. My playing has most certainly improved in these past few months. Looking forward to where this all can take me.“
2 - 8PM
16 Chestnut St, Emerson“My son has been taking piano lessons with Ms. Joy for about four years, and we couldn’t be happier. She is incredibly patient and thoughtful in how she paces each lesson — never overwhelming him, but always keeping him motivated and engaged. What I appreciate most is how she makes learning the piano enjoyable, so it never feels like a chore.
She also goes above and beyond to create meaningful experiences for her students. Twice a year, she organizes wonderful recitals where students can showcase their progress. She makes these events truly special by recognizing each child with named trophies, medals, or thoughtful gifts. On top of that, she encourages students to participate in auditions, which has given my son valuable opportunities to grow, take on new challenges, and significantly improve his skills.
We feel very lucky to have her as a teacher and highly recommend her to anyone looking for an inspiring and dedicated piano instructor.“

30 Lefferts Rd, Yonkers“Working with Regina has been…life changing (but not to be too dramatic). I’ve felt challenged and yet given the space to go at my own pace. She’s vivacious and something I love the most has been her adaptability. The true hallmark of a great teacher lies within the ability to fit the student’s mold and not ascribe one way of working, which she does in spades. Absolutely could not recommend Regina enough!“

Kind, helpful staff & great shop for new gear and repairs!“

1224 Anderson Ave Suite 5, Fort Lee“It is hard to overstate our enthusiasm for the NY String Academy. The faculty members are exceptionally accomplished musicians with a real knack for working with children. Our daughter started violin in 2017 (when she was three) and piano in 2018 (when she was four). Her progress on both instruments has been remarkable, thanks to the expert tutelage of Reun Chung. As importantly, our daughter looks forward to her lessons. Ms. Chung makes learning both easy and fun - each of which is obviously critical when working with very young children. Additionally, the school is flexible and accommodating in scheduling, and offers instrument rental programs (at least for violin) that allow you to gauge your child’s interest/aptitude without having to first buy an instrument. In short, we wholeheartedly recommend NY String Academy.“

“I've been taking singing lessons here for nearly 2 years, and have had such a blast. The lessons are catered to the student's goals, whether you want to learn a song or expand you vocal range, sing without tension on your throat, etc. I've taken class with Iriana, Chris, Bas, and Grace. They are all great and I focused on different things with them. Iriana helped me sing with a full sound and with great pitch accuracy, Chris helped me with really performing a song. Bas is great explaining things technically and helped me unlock my mix and higher notes. I continued to work with Grace on my mixed voice and she is great with musical theater but also Ariana Grande. I'm an alto and now have access to my mix voice and couldn't be happier. They've helped me to appreciate my voice more for sure.
I'm in my 30s. And if you, like my mom, are asking if you are too old to take singing lessons, I assure you, you are not. Also, the dumont location has a parking lot for those concerned about parking.“
