About Bronen's Music
Bronen's Music Store, founded in 1915 by Polish immigrant Benjamin Bronen and his family, has weathered numerous challenges over the decades, including the Great Depression, a major fire, World War II, and the blackout of 1977. Despite these hardships, the store has persevered and earned recognition, being honored in 2000 by the Bronx Borough President for its 75 years of service. The current owner, Andrew Bronen, began working at the store as an 8-year-old, alongside his father, Sidney, and continued to do so until Sidney's passing in 2003. Customers praise the store's expertise in repairing and maintaining musical instruments, with one reviewer noting the admirable efforts of the staff, even when they were unable to resolve an issue with a guitar. Another long-time customer highlights the store's great service and reasonable pricing, expressing gratitude for the care provided by Andy and Gabe over the years. Overall, Bronen's Music Store is described as a great place for music and sound systems, offering a wide variety of musical instruments, and earning recommendations from satisfied customers.
