16 Belleville Ave, Bloomfield“My daughters (both under 10) have been taking piano lessons with Mr. Ray for about seven months. They usually learn one or two new songs each week and have made good progress. For perspective, they have been taking piano lessons since ages 4/5, and play at least 15 mins. almost every day. I think having a private teacher is good to reinforce good techniques, and look at a piece from a different angle.
We’ve been with other studios and teachers in the past, and Mr. Ray stands out as both knowledgeable and easygoing. One of the best parts of the studio is the opportunity for students to perform in recitals and play in front of an audience. The teachers even perform during the recitals, which makes them really fun events.“
“We recently signed our daughter up for virtual singing lessons (recommended by a friend) and she genuinely enjoys her time with Mrs. Mohan! What’s not to love about the welcoming and inspiring atmosphere that Mohan Music School brings. Their flexibility and patience are key and incredibly appreciated ❤️ if you’re looking for something to bring confidence to your kiddo’s world, whether in person or virtual, we recommend Mohan Music School!“

959 Lincoln Ave, Glen Rock“My 2 sons have taken lessons at Architekt Music since they first opened in Glen Rock, on various instruments with various instructors. They have always been happy with their teachers and have progressed beautifully. Architekt's admin team is a dream....no matter who I speak or email with, they are super responsive, accommodating, and kind. Both the Glen Rock and Butler studios are beautiful and I love going to see the end of semester shows at the Butler stage. Their prices are very reasonable and I appreciate that they don't require you to sign up for an ensemble class, unlike another local music franchise with the initials SoR. ;) I will never forget how seamlessly Architekt pivoted to virtual lessons at the beginning of the Covid pandemic. I was so grateful to them for quickly offering lessons via Zoom so that my sons could keep their routines during a very scary and uncertain time. Shout out to instructors Alex (guitar) and Janine (piano) for making such a great impact on my boys. I highly recommend Architekt Music!“

16 Chestnut St, Emerson“My son has been taking piano lessons with Ms. Joy for about four years, and we couldn’t be happier. She is incredibly patient and thoughtful in how she paces each lesson — never overwhelming him, but always keeping him motivated and engaged. What I appreciate most is how she makes learning the piano enjoyable, so it never feels like a chore.
She also goes above and beyond to create meaningful experiences for her students. Twice a year, she organizes wonderful recitals where students can showcase their progress. She makes these events truly special by recognizing each child with named trophies, medals, or thoughtful gifts. On top of that, she encourages students to participate in auditions, which has given my son valuable opportunities to grow, take on new challenges, and significantly improve his skills.
We feel very lucky to have her as a teacher and highly recommend her to anyone looking for an inspiring and dedicated piano instructor.“

I started taking guitar lessons with Vinny in October 2024 and have loved the experience thus far. He’s made music theory finally click. And his teaching style works with the way I learn. My playing has most certainly improved in these past few months. Looking forward to where this all can take me.“

She had a fabulous teacher who knew exactly what music to give her to keep her engaged and interested. We also enjoyed the many piano recitals that From the Top arranged! 519 Pompton Ave #85, Cedar Grove“Jessica is the best vocal teacher. She is super knowledgeable and teaches in a way that is easy to understand. In my time as a student, she helped me so much with my vocal technique, choir repertoire, preparing for gigs, and working through certain issues I had. She always prioritizes vocal health and is super mindful of the well being of her students. I would highly recommend her!“

350 Ramapo Valley Rd, Oakland“We have been using Real Brave for over two years, and my four children and I love working with Real Brave. They have helped my children grow in their musical abilities. They have knowledgeable musicians who take time with their students. I have been able to find the right fit of teaching style for each of my children with their individual ways of learning. We live in a rural part of AZ and have to travel 30 miles to the nearest city. But having Real Brave has made music an option for my kids. We highly recommend Real Brave!“

I knew we were in good hands when I heard kids playing modern cool music and we met the teacher - Abraham. Abraham really took his time to teach our son some basics about music and how it’s everywhere. He’s also super patient and kind. My son loves him and we love the school. I hope they implement DJ classes soon as I think that would be a super cool skill and song writting.“

1595 NJ-23, Wayne“My daughter plays ? electric guitar. She previously had private lessons at home. She was so bored of the lesson. She wasn’t learning at all. I seriously never heard her play. So, we decided to give Bach to Rock a try.
At Bach to Rock my daughter just LOVES her instructor!! She is learning so much and is EXCITED TO PLAY NOW! I am so happy.
I have never heard her play so much at home! And it’s music?
Everyone is nice and helpful at Bach to Rock as well.
I encourage you, that if your child is struggling to learn, definitely look into taking them there. It’s totally worth it!
Thank You Bach to Rock ? you really are THE BEST!!
Rock on ??!!!

1059 Pompton Ave, Cedar Grove“Tom isn’t just a guitar teacher he’s a bridge to the soul of the instrument. Every lesson is thoughtful, patient, and tailored to where I’m at. He balances technique and feel in a way that pushes me creatively without overwhelming me. What really sets him apart is his deep musicality you’re not just learning chords, you’re learning how to play with intention. If you're serious about growing on guitar, Tom’s the real deal.“

170 Washington Ave, Dumont“I've been taking singing lessons here for nearly 2 years, and have had such a blast. The lessons are catered to the student's goals, whether you want to learn a song or expand you vocal range, sing without tension on your throat, etc. I've taken class with Iriana, Chris, Bas, and Grace. They are all great and I focused on different things with them. Iriana helped me sing with a full sound and with great pitch accuracy, Chris helped me with really performing a song. Bas is great explaining things technically and helped me unlock my mix and higher notes. I continued to work with Grace on my mixed voice and she is great with musical theater but also Ariana Grande. I'm an alto and now have access to my mix voice and couldn't be happier. They've helped me to appreciate my voice more for sure.
I'm in my 30s. And if you, like my mom, are asking if you are too old to take singing lessons, I assure you, you are not. Also, the dumont location has a parking lot for those concerned about parking.“
9AM - 5PM
134 Park Ave, Park Ridge“The best local music shop! I was lucky to take lessons here for many years in my childhood. Woodside helped me establish my love for the guitar and I still play avidly in several bands almost 20 years later. I developed advanced skills learning here.
Kind, helpful staff & great shop for new gear and repairs!“

“It is my pleasure to give an enthusiastic endorsement to Marina Belkin as a piano teacher. Her Believe in Music Studio is an inspiring experience, with instruments mounted on the walls from all over the world. Marina is uniquely talented as a musician and teacher of music! She strives to instill the deep passion she feels for music into each student, whether young or old, beginner or advanced. While Marina is quite focused on technique, rhythm, and having her students feel the music, she also makes her lessons fun. She is patient, encouraging, and compassionate. It is wonderful to have the chance to learn from such an extraordinary piano teacher. - Linda Keesing“
