60 S Lexington Ave, White Plains“I just received a new bow in the mail from the folks at D Z Strad. I have nothing but incredible things to say about the service, care, and quality put into my order. The bow itself is a gorgeous silver braided carbon fiber bow with an ox horn frog and abalone slide. It plays beautifully, with incredible balance, and it’s the perfect weight for me. It draws a gorgeous color from my violin that I’ve never heard before! I was so excited to show my stand partner in orchestra, I think D Z Strad may even see him as a future customer! It was also such a treat to receive a personalized email wishing me a happy and healthy new year. I’d love to buy from this shop again!“

1355 Northern Blvd, Manhasset“My 9-year-old daughter has been attending Actors Garage for the past two years, taking both acting classes and musical theater, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The teachers, Ann and Leila, are truly amazing—warm, patient, and incredibly talented. They bring out the best in every child, encouraging confidence, creativity, and teamwork in a fun and supportive environment.
The theater program is absolutely fantastic. Every production is thoughtfully directed, professionally run, and full of heart. You can tell how much effort and care go into making each show special. The performances are always impressive, with high-quality sets, costumes, and choreography that make the kids feel like real stars on stage.
What I love most is that there’s no overly competitive atmosphere—just a genuine love for the arts and a sense of community. My daughter looks forward to every class and has grown so much, not just as a performer but also in self-confidence and communication. Actors Garage is truly a gem for young performers, and I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a nurturing, high-quality theater and acting program.“

This is the first string instrument I’ve attempted to play and Eddie was patient, explained things very well and demonstrated numerous violins. There was no attempt to upsell and my first lesson was terrific.“

1767 1st Ave, New York“Josh had turned me into 77 year rocker. He's a fantastic teacher. He has me playing songs I thought I'd never play—Highway to Hell, Gimme Shelter, and What's Going On.
The school is a caring community thanks to the efforts of Josh, Trevor, Tim, Eve, Sarah, and Jules.
I'm now a member of a band that plays at the school's music recitals. It has added to the quality of my life as a senior adult.
It is a great place.

18-37 25th Rd, Long Island City“I’ve been taking lessons with Joseph for five months now, and describing my experience as just vocal coaching couldn't be further from the truth. I’ve worked with several coaches throughout my life, but those journeys usually lasted only a couple of months. Not because I lacked commitment, but because I never felt truly seen or supported beyond the lesson itself.
It came as a surprise when I all of a sudden found Joseph to act not only as a vocal coach but as a guide, or how I like to call him, a mentor.
He doesn’t just meet you once a week and disappear until the next session. You’re present in his mind beyond the lesson, when he hears a song he thinks would suit your voice, he'll send you an email at 3am because he doesn't want to forget. He'll give you personalized exercises based on what he notices you need, lesson by lesson. His approach is deeply attentive and genuinely invested.
When I started, my pitch somewhat okay. We spent three lessons focused purely on ear training, and I can confidently say that now I almost never miss pitch once I hear a note, and when I do, I’m always very close. I also had the chance to meet him in person while I was in New York, and that lesson exceeded every expectation. It confirmed everything I already felt that is the fact that he is, by far, the most integral and committed voice coach I’ve ever worked with, and I’ve worked with quite a few.
I came to him with little confidence in myself and my voice, with a very pronounced break that held me back. Five months later, I can slide through that break, my voice has completely transformed, and it continues to change, because he’s helped me not only train it, but find it. Joseph teaches and guides with passion, care, and purpose. He’s not just a coach, he’s a mentor. And there’s no one I’d rather have as a mentor on this journey than him.“
10AM - 3PM
30 Lefferts Rd, Yonkers“Working with Regina has been…life changing (but not to be too dramatic). I’ve felt challenged and yet given the space to go at my own pace. She’s vivacious and something I love the most has been her adaptability. The true hallmark of a great teacher lies within the ability to fit the student’s mold and not ascribe one way of working, which she does in spades. Absolutely could not recommend Regina enough!“
10AM - 8PM
5616 Broadway, Bronx“Mama, Jen, Pam and the entire staff are sweet, welcoming and extremely skilled in hair braiding. I always walk away satisfied and the energy in the store calms me as well.Exquisite pieces of art all over the store as well.Jen did my hair in the photos shown.“

“I can’t say enough great things about my experience with Michael at Pelham Music Arts Studio. I started lessons back in January, simply looking to get back into piano as a hobby, and I truly couldn’t have imagined how much progress I would make in such a short time.
Since starting, I’ve advanced to taking lessons three times a week, and I’m amazed at how much I’ve improved. I’m now confidently playing songs, learning and recognizing chords, and my sight reading has improved tremendously. Michael’s teaching skills are incredible; he’s patient, encouraging, and knows exactly how to challenge you in a way that builds both skill and confidence.
From the very beginning, when I reached out about his adult program, Michael was nothing but accommodating and supportive. He made the process feel approachable and tailored the lessons to my goals, which made all the difference.
I genuinely look forward to every lesson and am so proud of how far I’ve come. If you’re thinking about starting (or restarting) piano, I highly recommend Pelham Music Arts Studio!“
