Harlem Music Studios offers great sound quality, equipment, and overall experience. The environment is always clean, welcoming, and comfortable. The equipment is well-maintained, top-notch, and high-quality, making practice sessions smooth and enjoyable. The space is spacious, with good acoustics and a nice chill atmosphere, big enough for a large ensemble rehearsal. The staff are musicians themselves, super friendly, helpful, and very accommodating to artists. Booking is a breeze, and the rates are very reasonable for what you get. The location is great, very close to the 1 train. It is a fantastic environment for both bands and solo artists, and a reliable and inspiring place to rehearse. Highly recommend!
I've been taking classes with Shareef/Harlem Music Studios for about 6 months now and it's been lovely. I take their group piano class and it's so much fun. Shareef is attentive to each student's needs, clear at explaining, and knows when to push us while bringing joy to the class. He strikes that perfect balance of adding discipling to his teaching but keeps it fun and light. He brings in a wide array of music options for us from classical, to blues, to pop. Can't recommend Harlem Music Studios enough. We are lucky to have this place in our community!
I LOVE Harlem Music Studios! I’ve been taking French horn lessons with Shareef for about a year and a half, and it has been a great experience. I am an adult student that played when I was in middle/high school, and wanted to pick it back up again. Shareef consistently gives me interesting and challenging practice routines that keep me engaged and help me build my skills. He knows how to push me beyond my comfort zone while still making lessons enjoyable and encouraging. I’ve been taking piano lessons at Harlem Studios for a few months, and it’s been a very good experience. The group classes are enjoyable and welcoming, and private lessons are available as well. Students range from children to adults, prices are reasonable, and the studio is conveniently located. The staff is friendly, professional, and supportive. Highly recommend Harlem Music Studios if you’re looking for a place to begin your musical journey.
