I had to orchestrate her funeral from 1000 miles away and they were kind, helpful and always available when I called. They made recommendations for the florist and the repast (Basking Ridge Country Club) which greatly exceeded my expectations. When I lost the cremation certificate the night before the burial--and you can't inter ashes without it--Mike Galaway took my panicked call at 9 pm on a Sunday night and told me he'd get me a duplicate first thing in the morning and to not worry. They came through for me and our internment at 10 am at a cemetery in Staten Island was completed as planned. The service was executed exactly as I hoped, the flowers were gorgeous, the food at the repast was excellent and most of all, my mother was treated with dignity and respect. I have nothing but high praise for these outstanding and dedicated professionals.“

“This is a pretty small but incredibly beautiful church. Both of my nephews were baptized here in intimate family gatherings. I've never attended an actual Catholic mass here, but I can't say enough about the ornate detailing and serene atmosphere. The grounds outside are nice to sit in before and after, with a little stream and bridge over top.“

He is not interred there, but on two separate occasions they have graciously helped me, both with placing his ashes in an urn I had purchased, and then later with re-opening the urn to place some small mementos inside it. The entire staff there is wonderful and very accommodating. There was no charge for either of the additional services they provided to me, and their hours of operation are extremely convenient. I highly recommend Somerset Hills Memorial Park & Chapel Mausoleum.“

“I would like to thank Dan Rica for his compassion, patience, and kindness in helping my family plan my dad's funeral in September. Everything about the funeral and graveside service went as well as possible. Dan let us know that, as a veteran, my dad was entitled to have the Honor Guard at the cemetery, which was something I wasn't familiar with. He told us we needed to find my dad's discharge papers, and allowed me to take a photo and send it to him. Everything about the process was easy and stress-free, thanks to Dan's help and answering all of our questions. I would highly recommend Menorah Chapels should you find yourself in the unfortunate position of having to plan a funeral.“

“Galante provided a lovely, peaceful funeral for my loved one. Dana was totally professional, competent, respectful and caring throughout, leading us through the difficult process with grace and respect. The only caveat I must mention is that though Dana consulted with her superior in our presence about the costs of the services we requested, and he signed the contract in our presence, we were notified just prior to our first viewing the following day that additional money was required. This placed us in a terrible, indelicate position at a very emotional moment. Who would question additional fees at such a time? Seemed a bit like extortion to me.
All in all, I’d highly recommend Galante (Ask for Dana), but insist they honor their original price and contract.“
