“Cleared drain line. Toilet and tub were clogged. we had two technicians. The first one communicated there would be a guarantee for the work because we were Having the camera look into the drain. The second technician three days later said there is no warranty unless we do a jetting which was ridiculously priced at over $4000 for two drains over $2000 for the one drain that was clogged. so communications was poor and contradictory. We also felt the overall price was exorbitant.“

“We had an older Heatmaker combination unit boiler that was 32 years old that needed to be replaced. We started out with several estimates and first decided what could be used in our space constrained garage. We decided on a Navien combination unit and focused a obtained a couple more estimates. Dawson in fact was one of the last estimates we obtained. While Dave from Dawson had the benefit of us being well along the learning curve, he was able to answer all of our questions about the new unit and how best to solve the condensate dilemma. He even was spot on with regards to treating our well water to minimize scale buildup in our new boiler. We knew we had reached that point where we felt we had found the best installer in Dave.

Dave verified his condensate solution with the local township inspector and we scheduled the install date in two weeks. Carlos and Pablo showed up on time and dismantled the old unit and piping and did a first rate and well thought out installation job. Carlos had extensive experience installing these Navien units and it really showed. They managed to work in a tight space that PSE&G’s installers would not have with relocating a well tank. After all the plumbing was done, Ricky did the electrical work and adjusted some final dip switch settings before firing up the new boiler.

Dave and his crew really are top notch. His front office staff (Wanda and Ondrea) made the PSE&G interest free financing and permitting approval process seemless. We are looking forward to the operation and efficiency of our new high efficiency boiler for years to come.

“We called QAS two years ago to get an estimate just for insulation in our attic. When we received the proposal, we saw that we could get a rebate through the NJ Clean Energy Program. Glenn also told me if we converted to natural gas (we had oil heat), we could save a bunch more. We sat on the proposal for a while and picked it up again late last year. I did some research and saw people paying upwards of $18 to convert from oil to nat gas.We went through the process during which we were approved for a 7 year 0% interest loan to pay for the cost of the project. The guys were in and out in three days and our house is so much warmer. Our total cost for the project was $10,440, which is great considering we've got a new furnace with a 95 efficiency rating, a central air unit (we were using window units previously), and an insulated attic (it had the original insulation from when it was built in 1955).We're very happy with the work that's been done.“
