Russ runs what we need these days. Honest company with solid people. He stands by his work. He had to do my furnace and my central air split back in 2017. His crew did an awesome job and we have kept our oil with him since. Reliable and dependable.

He recently had to find a solution for my central air crapping out in the middle of this heat dome (I hate animals, fried the system). Others would have taken me to town, not Russ. He presented me multiple options with pros and cons. The guy is honest to the T and his whole company runs that way. I appreciate what a rarity Russ and Nibroc are in our world now. Show me one other company where the owner shows up at your door to stand by their work? That doesn’t exist anymore.“

“Great experience with Dowling! I had received quotes from 5 different companies; one looked at our job for 5 minutes and left, and the others provided various load sizes but no explanation as to why they recommended that size. Dowling did their due diligence to look at all of our space to calculate the appropriate load size for our unit as well as the ductwork layout (both the vent locations and the duct lines to minimize ceiling impact) so the system is as efficient as it can be. They're willing to explain why they made their recommendation and educate me better, which was important to me considering the investment. Ductwork and installation went smoothly and the technicians worked through a 100+ degree day to get the AC turned on (one tech actually finished our job and left for another at 6pm that same day). Would highly recommend Dowling. They educate, provide reason behind a recommendation, and the pricing is competitive. All well worth it to gain peace of mind that I have the best system and layout for my needs.“

“I would like to take a moment and thank Vinny Bober, a fuel driver for DownEast Energy through Eliot, ME, Kennebunk, ME, and Dover, NH for his amazing assistance with helping me get heat.
We lost our heat on a Saturday, and called to see why it wasn’t refilled. After lengthy waiting times on the phone, the dispatcher placed a ticket for someone to visit us in Dover.
Vinny came to assist with a propane refuel for a separate heater at 7pm. We explained to him that the heating oil for the house was also refilled today, but was not working. We weren’t sure what had happened. Vinny went above and beyond, going into the basement, and helped “burp” the tank (air in the line), and clean the filter. This was above Vinny’s usual tasks as a fuel driver.
The company itself is frustrating to deal with, but that’s a whole other rant. But I am giving a 5 star review for the reliable employee, Vinny, for going above and beyond to make sure the heat was working in our drafty, old house during one of the coldest weekends of 2026.
