“Feeling nervous, I went to get a haircut at RPS because it was recommended by a friend. I had not had a professional haircut since 2022. Making an appointment online was very easy. My stylist was Mal who was great! He made sure I was comfortable, kept checking in with me, cut, washed and styled my hair. I am very happy with his work and will return to get my hair cut again. There was no need for me to be nervous.“

“Love my new highlights done by Gabby! I had a bad experience somewhere else a couple of years ago and was a bit nervous. I purposely chose Gabby because I saw she has curls and highlights herself! She definitely knows her stuff and got the highlights the EXACT shade I showed her in a photo and did it low & slow so my curls aren’t damaged at all! I’ve definitely found my spot!“

“Ki recently cut my hair, and did an absolutely amazing job, I could not be happier. I have curly/ wavy hair thats always been difficult to manage and no matter what product or technique I used, would frizz up and never sit right. My first hair wash post-salon, I let it air dry and I didn't even need to touch up any of the curls, it looks so cute! I don't think it would be an exaggeration to say it's one of the best haircuts I've gotten in recent years. She really listened, and delivered exactly what I requested. On top of that, the salon has such a great atmosphere and it's so nice to be able to look at all the wonderful art on the walls while the stylists do artistry of there own. Was my first time going to the salon and was not disappointed at all, phenomenal customer service, very thorough consultation to make sure we were on the same page in terms of what I was looking for.“

“I went to Sunny to get my haircut and it was fantastic slight layer and U-shape. I feel much lighter after my haircut! She introduced me to her friend Sunny where I did my eyelashes perm and microblading! The natural feeling of the eyelashes and the curl was so good and long lasting, totally get my point of no-makeup look. She is very nice and gentle. Good price and worth to try!!“

“Awesome. Kristy was my stylist today. No political games here. Call and book your appointment. I called on a Thursday and Kristy got me in today Friday at 9am. She was professional and knew what I needed to look beautiful. She washed and condition my hair and I didn't know that was included. She was able to repair the locs I needed, restarted the locs in the back and retwisted the other locs. I love the atmosphere down to earth, the other stylist were friendly and professional. This is my kind of place and I definitely will be coming back. I recommend this place 100% if you need your locs or hair done.

“I absolutely love this shop! I came in just for a wash and braid down and Jessica was so kind and helpful. She suggested a trim as well which I was thankful for because I’m still new to doing my lose hair. She also praised me for the work I’ve been doing on my hair as I have had some major thinning. Those words of affirmation meant more than she knows.

I have also had two appts so far with Alyssa. She has made me feel what I like to call “hair confident.” I genuinely feel like I have to tools I need to know what to do with my hair when I am on my own doing it. She is helpful and punctual and definitely a vibe. Also, as a neurodivergent girly, I love that she gives me the space to be quiet during my appt if needed. Like she really seems to pay attention to the mood. Lastly, her work is immaculate! I have had clip ins done and a sew in and I have been in love with both. Definitely won’t be going anywhere else.“

However, I needed my hair cut and style, so I started surfing the internet, and came across Black Pearl. The reviews did it for me, so I decided to give Ms Tina a shot at it. I went there with a very open mind, hoping for the best, but at the same time expecting anything. Let me tell you, Ms Tina was amazing in every sense of the word. She was very warm and inviting, very knowledgeable in her field. She works magic with her hands. To say the least I was very impressed the way she handled her skill.
