I had a disappointing hair cut elsewhere in October and waited for it to grow out a bit before seeing Kerri. Unfortunately it hadn’t grown out quite enough for a bigger cut but I was still able to get a trim and a fabulous curl!
I really appreciate that she took her time to listen, and advised waiting a little longer for a bigger cut. I’m trying to avoid a bob and she respected that!
I left feeling good about my hair again. I’m so happy to know we have a plan for next time too.

“Had been in Chapel Hill for a while. Time for a haircut. I did a Yelp search and saw that Salon 135 got 5 stars, so decided to check it out.

I had the chance to stop by in person and made an appointment last night for a haircut this afternoon. The lady at the front desk was quite friendly, and she assigned me to Jennifer because she is more experienced at cutting straight hair.

It was the Homecoming weekend, I had trouble finding parking, so I was about 15 minutes late when I arrived at the salon this afternoon. Jennifer was working on her client who had an appointment before me because he was 20 minutes late. So I had to wait for about 10 additional minute until she finished.

Jennifer was friendly and professional! She gave suggestions and worked with me on deciding the hairstyle I was getting. We had a good conversation during the haircut. I requested an additional layer when she was ready to wrap up. She immediately worked on it without further ado. My whole cut, which involved cutting away about 6 inches with lots of layering, took about 50 minutes from start to finish.

All in all, Salon 135 has a friendly and professional staff. The $38 women cut was worth the price!

“I cheated on my hair stylist. And I’m not sorry. Woke up having a bad hair day and feeling an irresistible urge to trim my bangs with my kitchen shears. Instead, when out running errands, saw this Great Clips and thought how bad could it be? At least they will have sharp scissors! Popped in and was greeted by the loveliest stylist (hot pink hair - please forgive my inability to remember names) and was sitting in a chair within a minute. She asked so many questions about how I wanted my bangs trimmed, and checked with me as she snipped, making sure that I was happy with the result. Such a skilled stylist, and a delightful person. 10/10 experience.“

“Lindsey is extremely talented!I first saw her 6 months ago where I was desperate for help with my dark, thinning hair and starting the battle with stray grays. And so it began- Lindsey came up with some ideas asked for my input and we put her plan into action! First she cut my stringy, past the shoulder length hair to just below my chin! Wow, the volume it added! From there we did lighter shades of highlights /hair painting to blend the gray while letting my hair grow a bit to shoulder length. This last visit we did the final phase of blonde!Lindsey was upfront with the process from the start. Knowing it would take time, money & effort to achieve the goal initially now we can just do maintenance ?Lindsey absolutely knows hair! She is a perfectionist and does not want you leaving nervous or unhappy. I chose to go out of my comfort zone going short and blonde because I trust Lindsey’s work. I would not have done this with just any stylist. Lindsey listens to my ideas, shares her extensive knowledge and executes a plan! This last phase was fun too; Lindsey worked her magic and then we did a reveal at the end! Thank you!!!!!“

“I've been going to Grace for the past 3.5 years during my time in Chapel Hill! She's quite kind and with the $25 base cost for a all haircuts, it's totally worth the money. I was looking back at previous payments and my cost for the same haircut I always get has actually gone down because of it. I often ask for layers and come in with my hair freshly washed; she blow dries it and it always turns out great. I normally show her a photo and she also asks if you like it or if there's anything she can change! Go to her for a no frills, local haircut :)“

“I came in after visiting Sally’s in Durham, which was sadly closed, looking for some sort of toner for my hair to darken some lightened strips. I had 3 associates ask if I needed help and then almost the entire team come to the back to help me find a toner when 1 of the associates was too busy to stop and help!
