“My father got excellent care and advice from both Dr Mark Kahrhoff and Dr John Crane after a sudden onset of double vision. Both doctors responded quickly and generously to out-of-hours calls, helping us understand whether my father needed to seek more care urgently (he did not). Dr Kahrhoff then made a special trip in to the office to see my father out of hours and assess the situation and what to do next. My father had only been into their practice once before for a routine exam, but now they have a patient and customer for life - it was remarkable and we feel very lucky to have found them.“

“I took my wife to this location on Butler Hill Rd. after she complained her prescription wasn’t right that she received at the Festus Clarkson Eyecare location. The OD, Michael Katich, at this location did an examination & said the previous examination & script was completely wrong. The OD was thorough & provided additional information that wasn’t given at the Festus location & a new script. The staff was accommodating & friendly & we will definitely use this location verses the one in Festus. I was even willing to pay for another eye examination but they did it at no cost to us. Kudos to the team at the Butler Hill Rd. Clarkson Eyecare.“

“My 4-year old was having a fit today and decided to bend his glasses in half out of frustration. I was able to bend them most of the way back, but I couldn’t get the lens to pop back into the frame. We were heading to a larger chain optical store in the same plaza, when we noticed Spectrum Eyeglass Repair and thought that might be the perfect solution. Within 5 minutes they had heated the frame just enough to fit the lens back in- good as new! I got out my wallet and stepped to the register, but I was told this particular repair was FREE. (Though I fully intended to have my son fork over his own money for this!) Customer for life! Very kind people, great service and a sweet shop dog to pet as well!“

“Very pleasant staff. Helpful and knew what they were doing. I went to two other eye doctors and they did not know how to process my medical insurance for an eye exam. Family Eye Care assured me and followed through on processing the claim. They have some experts on their team or just people who care.“

“If I could give them 10 stars, I would! Dr. Sherwood is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and it’s very clear that he genuinely cares about his patients. I have significantly worse vision in one eye and have always struggled with glasses because they caused double vision and a constant sense of imbalance, so I relied on contacts.

Over the past two years, my vision had become increasingly blurry, especially at a distance, and it felt like I just couldn’t see clearly anymore. Dr. Sherwood adjusted my prescription so quickly, and honestly, it felt like I saw clearly for the first time yesterday. Everything is sharp and clear again—I can read easily and see things clearly at a distance. I’m still in awe of what a huge difference such a simple adjustment made. He even explained why my glasses gave me that imbalance and how we could make it that I would be able to in the future if I decided to get glasses; it’s so crazy that he is the first doctor in 10-15 years that was able to help with both.

I do not remember her name (Sorry!!!) but the employee helping me order the contacts and bill everything through insurance was also sooooo caring and went above and beyond to help me with the prices.
