Also, the Aftercare Specialist, John Cherwak, was exceptional! This was an extra fee with the cremation but so worth it. John went through all the documents to close out the government pensions and went down a thorough checklist to ensure all loose ends would be tied up so there are no surprises down the road.
I recommend this additional service as it would have taken me hours to figure out and handle on my own.

He came to my house to deal with the paperwork and happily came back that same day to pick my my Dads favorite Michigan hat, something he absolutely needed to have with him for cremation. I was on a tight timeline with being in Michigan before I had to travel home to Nevada. While the Arboretum tour showcased the variety of trees, while enjoying a walk in the beautiful grounds of a park-like environment, the Historical tour explored in depth, themes of local history, architecture and notable burials. Amy, the Director of Historic Foundation, is the curator behind both tours and has done an amazing job offering these kinds of events to our communities.“

I was honored with the task of burying a sister-friend (sister). Initially, Peace Funeral had my sister's remains. I had her transferred to Swanson Funeral Home because they are honest, forthright, and professional.

Swanson gave a breakdown of their package. It was reasonably priced and included everything except the vault and casket. The price of the minister, cosmetologist, and soloist were all included.

My initial contact was with Mr. Johnson. My case was assigned to Mr. Ayler. I have nothing but love for Mr. Ayler. He was kind, professional, and empathetic. He went beyond. I had a question when he was on vacation. He returned my call that day! Whenever I interacted with him, I felt like I was working with a dear friend.

Mr. Allen drove us to the cemetery. He was also kind and considerate. He heard me and a friend discussing how we would get from the repast to our hotel. We were both from out-of-town, so we weren't sure if we needed to take an Uber or Lyft. Mr. Allen overheard our concern. When we arrived at the cemetery, he told the owner, Ms. Lynn Swanson about our situation and asked if he could take us back to the hotel. Ms. Swanson gave him permission to drive us. What a blessing!
