“Alyssa made us feel so comfortable and confident in honoring our mother after her passing. We were looking for specific things in a funeral home and Voran in Allen Park checked every single box. The location was so clean and well laid out. Plenty of parking, an elevator so our elderly and disabled family members could access the separate (and very clean) kitchens upstairs. They kept the coffee full for us the entire time. It really is a beautiful place and you should feel so confident you’ll be honoring your loved one the proper way. Voran was the absolute best. “Went to the funeral of a co worker today (Angelo Williams) and was appalled by the lack of empathy by the person officiating the funeral. He stated before people were allowed to come up to make remarks that there was another funeral afterwards so basically, hurry up. The funeral’s should be spaced apart so that that type of comment wouldn’t be needed. That was the most tacky and unnecessary remark you could make before a grieving family. I’m sure they paid thousands of dollars to have time to listen to others share their love for their loved one. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.Edit: Mr. Pye did contact me which I sincerely appreciate.“

When my stepfather passed away in Arizona some years ago, we had no idea what to do or where to start the process of getting him back to Detroit. It just took one call to David and everything else fell in to place. David was extremely diplomatic, sensitive and understanding. He helped guide us through the process of writing the obituary, connecting us with hospice and helping us make decisions without offending or leaving anyone out. “Our father Dennis Scanland had pre-arrangements with a previous funeral home where he worked that had closed. We were transferred to Voran Funeral Home in Dearborn for our father's pre-arrangments when he passed away this past week. Everything from meeting with the director, lots of calls/questions that we had for them, the use of the particular room that we wanted, the ease of walking through what was going to take place, the viewing, the way the room looked so beautiful & warm, comforting & caring when we walked in, our dad's many items we wanted on display, everything from start to finish was absolutely remarkable. All of your staff were great. Your funeral home is decorated beautifully. We loved the downstairs roomy kitchen area for the guests staying there all day with us. Everyone whom we met were extremely caring, kind and friendly. Thank you so much for all that you did to make this one of the most difficult experiences in our life to be a blessing for us.“
