“I have been a client of Alpine for 35 years. The veterinarians are skilled, kind, and caring. The same goes for the techs. They are also consistently friendly and efficient. My dog can be a handful to treat, yet the staff seem quite fond of him.“

“The veterinarian was super nice and loved my ball pythons. The lobby is also really cool looking they have several fish tanks. They seem to really care a lot about the animals and live their work.

Edit: This is one of the closest places near Frederick that accepts treatment on snakes. Also this veterinary office tries to make sure your animal is living in the right environment and gets the correct and needed nutrients or equipment. I might switch all my animals here even though it’s a long drive.“

“I chose Small Door for my new kitten’s first appointment. I mistook the time and arrived 40 minutes early, so Gracie was trapped in her carrier because of my mistake! Except the receptionist put us in a room early and pulled out a bunch of toys so that I could entertain her until the vet was ready. The vet and vet tech were kind and answered all of my questions! Pricing was discussed up front and I really appreciated that they offered a package to cover all of her necessary kitten care. Looking forward to bringing Gracie here for many years to come!“

“I had a fantastic experience at Union Veterinary Clinic today, Monday, 10/7/2024. Over the weekend, my dog had a minor nail injury that wasn’t healing as expected. I called the clinic first thing in the morning, and despite it being a busy Monday, the email receptionist was incredibly empathetic and arranged to see us within an hour!

When we arrived, the staff was welcoming and efficient. We were checked in quickly, and shortly after, Dr. Slotje came in to examine my dog. She was amazing—gentle, patient, and had an immediate connection with my dog. He’s never nervous with strangers, and he warmed up to her instantly. Dr. Slotje carefully explained the situation with his nail and swollen paw and recommended a treatment plan. She also suggested doing a full nail trim while we were there, which was much appreciated, especially since he's reluctant when it comes to nail trims.

Erin, the vet assistant, came in next and did a great job keeping my 95-pound boxer calm with treats and playful distractions. Then Carlos joined in to assist with the nail trimming, holding my dog with care while Dr. Slotje and Erin worked together. My dog may not enjoy nail trims at home, but the team handled everything with ease and professionalism.

I’ve been bringing my dogs to Union Vet for over 15 years, and their level of care and compassion is always top-notch. I’m so thankful they fit us in on such short notice today. Their exceptional service and dedication are what keep me coming back. Kudos to the entire team—you guys rock! ?

“Thank you so much for squeezing Captain Morgan in. Dr. Alcott was great, I really appreciate the time he took with us and explaining things. I will try to keep him from eating stuff from outside which is almost close to impossible. It took a good week and he finished his medication and is back to "normal".

Thanks again to the front desk staff and Patrick was very helpful (as usual) answering my reply texts since I can't always get to my emails.

“Big shout-out to the Highland Veterinary Hospital team. Today I had to put down my 16 year old dog, and Dr. Gary and his team came all the way out to my house so that he could pass comfortably in a familiar place. They were professional and compassionate throughout the entire process, asking me questions and explaining everything along the way. They handled all paperwork in advance so that I could just be in the moment to say goodbye to my dog. All of our clinic visits have been very pleasant as well, and I never feel like they were pushing unnecessary things on me. Highly recommend!“

“This review is long overdue, but everyone should know how amazing Dr. Perl is! I adopted a very reactive dog who has lots of fear / aggression - so much so that my usual vet was unable (or unwilling) to examine him. Dr. Perl was able to sedate him and administer the required vaxes at my home, where my dog was most comfortable (taking to a veterinary clinic is pretty risky due to strangers and other animals). He was amazing and clearly had dealt with dogs like mine before - which made me feel much better! He's also got a wonderful personality and is more than pleasant to deal with - and didn't charge an extra arm or leg, which you might expect with house calls! I'll most definitely be calling him in the future - Highly recommend!“

“Dr T office is the best there is. The place is not great in emailing back or calling back, but they are very helpful once you get them on the phone and they always provide very quick care and my super reactive dog feels safe and sound with them.“

“To be honest, this was the best experience my family has had with a veterinarian practice. (Of course my pup had a great experience too which says a lot!). From the scheduling process, to the appointment itself and follow-up, everything has been great. We came from a different practice, Woodley Gardens made the transition so easy with obtaining all of my dogs prior records from multiple practices which made everything so much easier. My dog has inflammatory bowel disease and is under very specific care and a special diet because of this. Dr. Lowenthal has already been an amazing help with continuing care for my dog's disease and also helping us maintain communication with our dog's internist. I highly recommend this practice!“
