“Dr. Edwards is a wonderful vet who is proactive with pets and her care of our 13-year old beagle has made huge improvements in the health of our pet. She is much more up to date than our former vet on new treatments for arthritis and initiated thyroid medication that has been hugely helpful as well. The opening of her practice 3 years ago has been a great addition to the neighborhood.“

“I moved to Hyattsville Animal Hospital when my previous vet (of 15 years) just went downhill and a lot of trust was lost. My pet sitter highly recommended Dr. K so I made an appointment and never looked back. This is a terrific hospital from the front office and back office staff to the care. Dr. K is wonderful with all my littles (2 of my own) - I started fostering a little one and she goes there now, too. Their costs are the best in the area hands down. The facility is not flashy but it's nice and it's the care that matters and parking is not an issue ever. As long as they are there - all my littles will be their patients.“

“I had a fantastic experience at Union Veterinary Clinic today, Monday, 10/7/2024. Over the weekend, my dog had a minor nail injury that wasn’t healing as expected. I called the clinic first thing in the morning, and despite it being a busy Monday, the email receptionist was incredibly empathetic and arranged to see us within an hour!

When we arrived, the staff was welcoming and efficient. We were checked in quickly, and shortly after, Dr. Slotje came in to examine my dog. She was amazing—gentle, patient, and had an immediate connection with my dog. He’s never nervous with strangers, and he warmed up to her instantly. Dr. Slotje carefully explained the situation with his nail and swollen paw and recommended a treatment plan. She also suggested doing a full nail trim while we were there, which was much appreciated, especially since he's reluctant when it comes to nail trims.

Erin, the vet assistant, came in next and did a great job keeping my 95-pound boxer calm with treats and playful distractions. Then Carlos joined in to assist with the nail trimming, holding my dog with care while Dr. Slotje and Erin worked together. My dog may not enjoy nail trims at home, but the team handled everything with ease and professionalism.

I’ve been bringing my dogs to Union Vet for over 15 years, and their level of care and compassion is always top-notch. I’m so thankful they fit us in on such short notice today. Their exceptional service and dedication are what keep me coming back. Kudos to the entire team—you guys rock! ?

“Family Pet Vet is the absolute best. Dr. Wehrli is so compassionate and authentic. And, not only is Dr. Wehrli the best, but his staff is my absolute favorite. In particular Beatriz and Cai! They have so much love for all the animals. They are so kind and helpful. We had a really serious surgery with our older dog and they were so helpful in walking me through everything and getting him out and into the car to help me. When our dog ended up passing they were so compassionate. We now have a new puppy and they are just as loving. I feel like they are a truly family vet practice.“

“I had a great experience during my visit with my pet. Dr. Tibbs was very knowledgeable and answered my thousands of questions. My cat was difficult during the visit, but Dr. Tibbs and Brandon were able to handle her. Brandon was very comforting to my cat because she was very afraid. Michelle who was at the front desk was very friendly and also answered all question asked. Overall, it was a great visit with a knowledgeable and friendly staff.“

“I just had a really great experience with Silver Spring Animal Hospital and they'll now be my dog's primary provider. I've struggled with vet care for my 4-year old pup because she's so fearful and resistant. I found this practice through the Fear Free website, because the vets are certified fear-free, which means they've received training on how to calm down fearful dogs. They worked with me to get a good dose of calming drugs before the visit and they allowed me to stay in the room with her which was really important to me (I want to know how my dog reacts and I know my presence makes her feel better even if she was still uncomfortable). Dr. Benton and all the staff I met were really great and everything was clearly explained to me and they took the time to address all my questions.“
