Family Medicine at White City Plaza
“This was not only my 1st visit here but it was also my 1st time having a UMass Doctor as my PCP. I've always had Independent Doctors so this was a huge change for me.
I saw David Runyan, NP and he was great. I prefer to see NPs. Like David, they seem to take more of an effort to actually LISTEN to you. I have trust issues and I think David sensed this. Even though this visit was more of a meet and greet, he kept everything casual yet upbeat.
Basically he made the visit comfortable. We even had a good laugh when he wanted to go over my me list (we found out that it hadn't been updated in years😁).
Since that was my 1st time there, I will update this posting after my next visit.
What I can say at this point is that it's a very brand new facility. It has its own Phlebotomy area. So if your Doctor orders labs for you, you can get them done on your way out. The waiting room is very spacious too.
The ladies working at the Front Desk are the sweetest and the nicest Front Desk Clerks I've EVER encountered at a UMass location. They're even just as sweet if you call the Office.
The exam rooms were built to a good size. There is room to move about without bumping into something. I hate the exam rooms that are so small where you basically have to walk a straight line from the door to the exam chair/table.
