I went to Home Depot who charged me $44.00 to Mickey Mouse the water feed… I was disgusted and on my way home I noticed Palmer plumbing and brought the original part inside where I met John. I showed him the old part and he said follow me. We went upstairs and he went right to a shelve and found the part I was so desperately looking for! Bought house with 20+ year old air conditioner which finally died. I contacted 4 companies for quotes. 3 came to house to look at the situation and one asked me to send photos. So now I'm down to 3. One from a big local firm wanted to measure every room in the house even though I told him the size we had did a good job cooling before it died. It was clear he was looking to up-sell so now I'm down to 2.

The remaining 2 firms had almost identical quotes. So since price wasn't part of the consideration we were looking for service and support. It came down to a big local company vs a very close-by family business.
