“We hired A&A Services Home Improvement to replace 30 windows, including 2 sliders and 2 casement windows we replaced with double hung windows. From our first interaction with owner Chris Zorzy, our appointment with Sean, through the installation and follow up for a couple minor fixes they were a pleasure to work with.The biggest plus for us was no high-pressure sales or upselling. Sean also checked a dormer roof my husband thought needed to be replaced. He said the roof was fine and so was an exterior door my husband thought should be replaced. He also suggested replacing our Velux skylights with fixed skylights since we never open them. I’m not sure other companies would have been as honest. And their warranty is one of the best. Ten years on the installation and lifetime on the windows, and based on their reviews they stand by their warranty.Scott and his team of 7 were long-time employees (20+ years) and 2 men who installed windows for another major window replacement company. They were professional, respected our property and easy to communicate with. The job was done in 2 ½ days during the coldest week of the year. Despite the cold they did their best to minimize the timing the windows were open to the elements and hung a drop cloth when they were replacing the sliders with windows. When they were done the house was cleaner than when they started.Sean checked in during the installation and afterwards to review the work. During the follow up visit we mentioned a couple minor things we wanted fixed, there was no pushback at all, and someone was out the next week.Finally, we’ve had numerous home improvement projects done over the past 40 years and I think it’s the first time we’ve ever received a thank you note. I’m sure there will be more home improvement projects in our future and when the time comes, we won’t hesitate to call A&A Services Home Improvement again.“

“Barrowclough came highly recommended, especially Paul Newman. I had seen his work at a couple homes. It was perfect. When it was time for us to do a major renovation, we invited them to give us a quote with other contractors. We ultimately chose them, although they were not the lowest quote. We chose to leave our home during construction to give them freedom to do their thing. Not only did Paul work quickly and efficiently, but during the job, he called frequently to keep me updated, and he came up with ideas to make the space more usable and modern. Rather than keep 2 old fashioned pantries, he had an idea to pull off the doors and order cabinet frames and doors and extend the kitchen into the hallway. He pulled out the insides and reengineered them to our custom specs. The result was that for minimal cost (hundreds of dollars) we got much more functionality and efficiency. We ended up adding to the kitchen and dining room job. What did we add? We removed popcorn ceiling, painted hallways and stairwell, painted master bath and bedroom, redid two upstairs bathrooms and more. We came home to a new house in April 2021 just as covid is (hopefully) winding down. What a gift Paul is. I'm happy to show the work that Paul and his crew did. He employs the best subcontractors and partners with them to ensure they are working together well. You can't go wrong with Paul and Barrowclough. Paul is a master carpenter. I would give it 5 stars, if I knew where to post that!“

“JP converted a half-bath of mine, into a full bath (shower) and made the use of the space so much better, that the bathroom actually feels bigger. Everything had to be moved and a window have to be removed. You would never know that window was ever there: the cedar shingles on the outside match perfectly! He kept to the time schedule he gave me, right from day one. His recommendations for flooring and fixtures was spot-on. He was always pleasant. And the work was the highest quality. The bathroom is one that I'm very proud of. I was so happy with the work done by JP, that I had him do additional work: removing a through-the-wall air conditioner, replacing missing trim in a bedroom (matching the old trim which is not made any more), and dry-wall plastering in my dining room. “This is the 2nd time my company has worked with James J. Welch Construction and we couldn't be happier with the outcome, communication, and value received on our projects. The building in which Justin and his team performed tenant improvements is a very old and complicated building, one in which there is a skeleton behind everything you touch. We were able to work through each of them without getting change ordered to death or stopping progress, which was great.Also, although we were previously told it would likely take up to 6 months to get a permit, Justin's team was able to get the permit within a couple of weeks and more importantly completed the project 2 months ahead of schedule. “In November of 2021, my 110 year old home sustained major and minor damage due to a tree crashing through the roof during a windstorm. The hole in the back of the house, the partially missing chimney, and the gaping area along the window were obvious. The cracks that spidered the walls throughout the house were not. JLP construction was fantastic. We needed to be out of the house for safety and the work to be done. We decided that as the kitchen was damaged by the falling tree and after living for 30 yrs with an archaic set up, to have the kitchen completely redone, down to the studs and opening it up. We also went all in on new windows , a new heating system, fresh paint throughout, and the hardwood floors refinished. John designed an amazing new kitchen! Our primary goal was to cool our cape style home in the summer months however Mass Save's whole home energy program rebate and 0% loan gave us the opportunity to cool and heat our home using the latest heat pump technology. Mike was very knowledgeable on Mass Save programs and all the documentation submissions required for approval. Mike was also very knowledgeable on the latest Mitsubishi heat pumps (low temp operation, efficiency, quiet). The work he and his team performed was outstanding, two external units and six internal units was a lot but they completed on time and were very respectful when working in our home. Finally, by working directly with Mike vs. much larger HVAC organizations gave us a direct line to the person responsible for quoting and completing the project.
