“While visiting in the Groton area, my almost 16 year young pup developed a UTI (urinary tract infection). It's not generally an emergency condition, but in a senior dog, it could progress quickly. I'd called several veterinary offices in the area, but none could see us for a few days because we weren't pre-registered clients.When I called Veterinary Health Care of Groton, they were willing to fit us in that afternoon. I can't say enough good things about all of the staff. I was concerned that my pup would be uncomfortable on the hard floor & suddenly, a fleece blanket appeared for her! Dr. Thomas & her staff handled my pup gently & were very attentive to me & respectful of my concerns. I believe we received wonderful service for the cost of the visit,especially for a last-minute appointment.I had explained that we were just visiting in the area, but we were treated like long-term, valued clients. If you need veterinary care in Groton, I'd definitely consider this office!“

“The best veterinarian experience I’ve ever had. We drive 45 min just to come to Compassionate Care. All staff members are friendly and truly compassionate. Our cat has had issues that other veterinarians couldn’t fix. Only the compassionate care team has been able to find the right balance for him. I would highly recommend this vet for all cats.“

“Last night I had to bring my dog to AMC in Nashua . I was extremely impressed by this place ! The facility is very clean and well kept . I was greeted by a woman at the front deck that was very nice and helpful. She even gave me a cup of tea out of her own stuff to make me feel more comfortable. I was brought into a room where I meet the vet tech along with the doctor. They were kind, understanding.and easy to talk to . The doctor( Dr Mackenzie ) took a lot of time explaining things to me with a lot of compassion. I would ? percent recommend this place! Thank you for taking such good care of Bailey.“

“I had to take my little dog in for a checkup because she was coughing and hacking and coughing for almost 3 weeks with no let up .. I was full of fear thinking the worst thinking that she may have cancer. she's also a 15-year-old terrier mix. They explained everything to me step by step what they were going to do to her and made sure that I understood everything that they were doing and what they were talking about.After I spoke to the doctors my anxiety lessoned tremendously. I guess what I'm trying to say is they really care because they know that your pet is your life ..your family.. your best friend.. and it's hard to find veterinarians that have so much compassion and kindness for what you are going through with your pet. I've been to many in my years growing up and may I say I've never found one like this. I tell everybody I know about this place and to try them out for yourself and see the results you will not be disappointed.“

“I originally went to this vet as they work with the Nashua Humane Society to provide follow up adoption visits at a minimal cost. They were very accomidating when scheduling that visit. I have been going to them for over 3 years now and I am very happy with the services. There are separate entrances for dogs and another for cats and small pets. I had been able to get a same day appointment when my pet was ill. I have a very feisty feline who they have been so patient with and able to provide support for her when needed.“

“I’ve been coming to this practice for about 3 years now, first with my cat then with my English bulldog. We’ve seen both Dr. Mockler and Dr. Roe and both were absolutely fantastic. My bulldog is a frequent flyer and they always take amazing care of her! They answered all my questions and were always super responsive to any of my concerns regarding my pets health. The front desk staff is super friendly, accommodating, and pleasant as well. We just moved out of the area and are so sad to leave this practice but I’d highly recommend them to anyone in the area!!!“

“I took my 2 year old bully to get his ears checked for an ear infection and some allergies... EVERYONE in the team was sooo awesome and caring of my love bug. My bully seems scary at first but they soon found out how sweet he really is he is feeling so much better already and he was just seeing on 1/5/24. I recommend this place 10/10. “I called Dr Walsh on a Sunday evening during a snow storm . The hospital was closed but , he answered the phone and agreed to meet me at the hospital .My poodle was experiencing urinary tract infection symptoms .(bloody urine )He was able to treat my dog and give me the appropriate medications needed . My dog was looking and feeling better the next morning.I really appreciated his kindness and arriving quickly to help . I would have waited hours any other place . Thank you ?“

“I had to bring my cat Murray in for a second visit today 1/21/24 because he got too spicy for his annual check up. I changed out his carrier for a carrier swaddle bag to keep him calmer. The office staff were amazing, treating my boy with care and consideration for his anticipated attitude. I was more stressed than the cat. I called before bringing him in, reception made sure he could go straight back. I hovered at the desk listening for Murray to act up and again reception never once made me feel like I was out of line or in the way. (A lovely girl with pink hair, I'm sorry I didn't ask her name) Murray was grumbly but (prayers answered) he made it thru his appointment and we got him back home to his happy place.
