Joe and Donna, the proprietors of Look salon, have been cutting my hair for 30 years, long before Look Salon has existed. I followed them from prior shops: Dellaria (Andover and Rockingham Mall, Salem NH) and Mainstreet Salon (Andover). Joe is a coloring specialist -- with a very high percentage of returning longtime clients. Donna is an expert stylist, again with a larger number of returning clients. Like me, many of these clients followed Joe and Donna from previous shops and have been loyal customers since. They are equally adept at men's and women's styling for clients of all ages. They've cut my 31 year old son's hair on and off since he was 6 years old. I'm 68 and I've seen clients at least 2 decades senior to me.Donna and Joe are very personable and accommodating professionals. Despite being busy, they are flexible with scheduling. And they are interesting conversationalists.Prices are very competitive for Andover. They run a simple shop -- just the equipment needed, not a lot on unnecessary flourishes that don't contribute to good service and good results. And that's what you get at Look -- great service and great results.

Excellent craftsmanship! Pars really knows a lot of in-depth knowledge about rugs. We brought in an old, inherited rug that needed cleaning and restoration. Pars didn’t make any decisions about his approach to the repairs before syncing up with me first. I value his experience in these matters, and I could’ve have been more satisfied with the results!

We were very satisfied overall with our experience working with NER on a large deleading project. A high priority for us was being able to keep our beautiful old windows, and NER was willing to take that on. The project took about two months, as planned, because of the window work, and they were able to make them safe for our young kids while keeping them in great shape. Li and Erik were communicative and easy to reach throughout. The inspector was happy with the results afterwards as well, which is obviously important. Despite some damage they caused to wallpaper (not near anything treated for lead) that they argued was not their responsibility to fix per the contract, we'd definitely recommend NER for another project like this.

Dave Bateson saved me $8500 on a major plumbing job recently done at my home. An excavator was needed and called in to dig a trench for the inside pipe installation to connect through the foundation to the city sewer system. Bateson was hired to dig the 10 X 10 foot trench.
After inspecting the job his workmen had done refilling in the trench, Dave casually asked what I paid for that particular part of the pipe laying work. When I told him the pricing he was very upset. Told me what he thought the job should have cost and pointed out that his workmen had done the majority of the work on the outside portion of this job.
An hour later Dave called me, told me he was delivering a truck load of loam, having it spread out and seeded, so I would not have to pay an additional amount to a landscaper. He felt bad that I had been charged so much. He also informed me that he would no longer be doing business with that particular plumbing company. Of course, I thanked him profusely, knowing he was under no obligation to make such a kind offer.
Later he called to tell me he'd called up the plumbing company to express his displeasure; and they now assured him they would be giving me a rebate.
The plumbing company followed up with a call from their regional manager and then their plumbing department manager to offer me the $8500 rebate, an almost 75% rebate on that portion of the job.
Dave Bateson is an honest man, running a family business, who wanted to be sure his client was treated fairly even though he was not directly responsible for the over-charges levied from the plumbing company. I cannot endorse Bateson Sewer Services enough. Dave went out of his way to make it right for me, as well as doing excellent work on their portion of the job.
I have purposely not mentioned the plumbing company by name (who BTW, do good work) because my intent is not to disparage another company who have personnel making their living from said company. I only wish to give credit where credit is due.

I recently called Levesque Wood Company to purchase a grapple of wood . That’s right a full truck load of beautiful (mostly) oak logs. Yvan Levesque was accommodating and very easy to work with. I’ve had large deliveries like this in the past that did not go well, but not this time. Yvan is a professional. He communicated well, showed up on time, and delivered a great product of nice clean oak logs with no dead or rotted pieces, just like he promised. I will call Levesque Wood Company again for all my firewood.

Ferris Tree removed several large trees from our property yesterday. They did a great job from start to finish (responded to my RFQ quickly, pricing was in line with other companies, and work was completed on time). The work was challenging with so much snow but they got it done and they cleaned up the tree detritus thoroughly.

I recently had a prophylaxis cleaning at Family dental. Was first time visit this place, and know from friend. Honestly, I was nerve-wracking before the visit, since it's new opened dental clinic. But I have to say my experience was exceptional. The waiting room was super clean and modern. Dr. Wu was so wonderful. She performed the prophylaxis was gentle and thorough, and she explained everything she was doing throughout the entire process. She also provided me with helpful tips on how to better care for my teeth and gums at home.Highly recommended.
I was able to get an appointment the day I called and everyone was very nice. We were brought into the exam on time and the tech and veterinarian were wonderful with my dog. He was thoroughly examined and the issue was taken care of with expertise. I was given thorough instructions for his care and all my questions were answered. I have been bringing my dog here since he was a puppy and I would recommend them.

There aren’t enough glowing things to say about Julie! She is so gentle, skilled, warm, and I leave every session feeling both relaxed and like it was very effective. She has been so adaptable for pregnancy care as well. Highly recommend Julie for anyone looking to start or continue their acupuncture journey!
This review is a year late (due to an IVF and pregnancy journey where my acupuncture support needed to be paused) and it’s been burning a hole in my psyche given how deserved and needed it is. I don’t say this lightly, but Ted is a healer in every sense of the word and is the most gifted, skilled, knowledgeable and compassionate practitioner and person there is. I came to Ted with severe chronic health issues a’la Long COVID, and Ted was the catalyst for most of my symptoms relaxing and healing over time, inclusive of the daily migraines I was experiencing, multiple times per day, and my GI and liver issues that I had assumed were untreatable via failures in western medicine that I experienced for years.
The style of acupuncture Ted practices is what drew me to him (after attempting other forms of acupuncture without success), and his holistic approach to the treatment - inclusive of Qi Gong, diet, and so much more - have been so incredibly supportive alongside the treatments themselves.
Ted is truly the best it gets and lives and breathes his art and the science and practice of the art. I am always so hesitant to use the word “healer” as it’s used so flippantly these days, but Ted IS a healer and he’s one that I owe my returned health to.
To say he’s the best in the North Shore is a gross understatement: in my humble opinion he’s the best in the region and I pray he continues practicing for more years to come, as so many lives can be made more livable and supported by his genius and gift.
My teenage son had his first appointment here with Dave today. He described it as a very positive experience overall. We scheduled the appointment with ease & were happy to learn that they offered weekend availability. I was looking for a place that had these type of services that wasn't too far from home. Belchertown is only about 30 mins from where we live. As we entered the practice, we noticed that it was very clean, well maintained & had an extremely calm, peaceful, & inviting atmosphere. Dave seemed awesome from the start, as we began communicating via email, days prior to the appointment. We were also pleased to read the rules (related to Covid) upon entering, clients must wear masks & sanitize hands as soon as they enter. Dave also wore a mask. They also had clean restrooms available for use nearby. My son was really impressed with Dave's approach & found him to be very friendly, down to Earth, laid back & easy to talk with, a good listener. He made him feel comfortable immediately & I left for a bit & returned when he was finished. The appointment was 1.5 hrs, and Dave was verypunctual with his schedule. My son received acupuncture for the first time & was pleased with the results. I have never had it done myself, but have heard good things & my son said that it was not painful. I would definitely recommend Inspired Being to anyone who is curious about this sort of practice, and Dave was a pleasure to meet & would certainly suggest that you consider scheduling with him. His wife also works at the practice I've learned & they are both very experienced. I'm even thinking about making a future appointment for myself, now that I know the benefits that my son had explained to me.
