“You will see unbelievably low prices advertised on TV for glasses. In my opinion, the short answer is you get what you pay for, but since your eyesight is better with even a bad fit and less than optimal lens material, you may not know how much better it could be if you relied on a professional fit and lens selection from a good optician.My budget certainly isn't unlimited, but enjoying the benefits of optimal eyesight is very important. I've learned from experience that unless you've had a professional optician help you with selecting and fitting a frame, selecting the right lens material and then ensuring the placement of variable focus lens in the frame is perfect, you may be missing out on more than you realize.In my opinion, Joe Bergman is not only one of the nicest and most thoughtful people I've met in a long time, he is also one of the best opticians in the KC area. He recently helped my wife and me select frames that are suitable for facial shape and optimal lens material that would provide the best results for our prescription. He then took time to measure exactly where the lens should be positioned in the frames after they were uniquely fitted to our faces to ensure optimal eyesight at all distances. “We were visiting the Kansas City, MO area and decided to spend a day poking around Overland Park. We happened upon Eye Style Optics mostly by accident, and decided to check it out (my wife and I have a habit of buying too many pairs of glasses).

We met Sarah who was an absolute delight to work with. She did a fantastic job of pulling options not just from their displays, but other frames she new were in the store that matched brands or styles we identified as favorites. She spent A LOT of time showing my wife tint options to help her land on the right decision for a pair of Rx sunglasses.

Their selection of independent eyewear brands is superb. Lens pricing for Rx lenses was more than reasonable.

We ended our visit purchasing three pairs of glasses, which were quickly and expertly shipped to us back home in New England. We wish we could physically visit more often. “I have had reader lens in my dive mask added and updated by Gregory. It was very a simple process and Gregory did EXACTLY what I wanted. I like being able to have very small readers which are just enough to view my computer and compass but not take too much real estate to see my surroundings. I have used premade reader masks and they are ok, fine for a back-up. But custom readers are so much better. I strongly recommend Leonard Maggiore Opticians.“
