I can tell they try and squeeze everyone into their schedule (which is great for when repair emergencies come up) so keep in mind that arrival times can vary if something comes up“

“I'd highly recommend McDaniel Plumbing for all your plumbing needs. They are professional, polite, and responsive. Very friendly crew. I've had them repair a separated under sink drain line and switch out multiple plumbing fixtures throughout the house. They also made some changes to my hot water heater and gave some recommendations for care and maintenance. Taking on your own repairs isn't recommended unless you really know what you're doing. Professional repair and installation goes a long way in terms of longevity.“

“Had a long horrible time with clogged sewer pipe and dealt with several different plumbers and Viking was the one who showed up and made good decisions and got the situation on the right track. The clog was on City property and two other companies kept charging to fix what was not fixable from the house. Viking made the right decision to scope with a camera, determine it was City of Boise property and called the City Works department. Next day City was over fixing pipe. The other companies would have charged us a fortune in several different ways while chaising their tail. Viking wasn’t the cheapest but it was fast and competent!!! FAST, CHEAP, GOOD…. you get two of the three in the real world. Viking seems to be fully capable of any two of these three. If you got a situation, don’t mess around. Call these guys.“

On vacation and we came on the weekend to find out our house was up to 84°. We called Liberty Heat and Air and Brent answered on first try. (No weekend after hours out-of-country virtual assistant. Thankfully it was the owner himself.) He came out on a Sunday and got us up and running again fast. Very thankful for his prompt response, kindness, knowledge on our very old unit, and very fair prices. We will definitely call again in the future when we need him. Thanks again for great service! “Original 1 star rating: We so wanted to give this company a good review. They are veteran owned, and we are a veteran family. Called them on Monday 10/20/25, around 9 am, to discuss a water softener. They scheduled someone to come out on 10/22/25 between 2 and 4 to look at the situation and discuss options. Stayed home all afternoon waiting and they never showed up. No call or text.

First impressions are everything and if we can’t get them to come out to give a quote, what’s it going to be like getting service after they already have the business? Super disappointing.

Revised 4 star rating: Rain called the morning after we posted this review and said there was a mix up. They promptly sent out Matthew to do a quote. Not sure if we are going with them or not but they were courteous, owned up to the mistake and made it right.“
