You can take a drive through several subdivisions in the Des Moines metro and pick out the Drake homes as you drive by. Leah is absolutely amazing. Originally went to her for more blonde color which has always turned out amazing. I've gone to back to my natural roots which is a dark blonde, almost brunette and she made the concoction PERFECT. She can do whatever you ask for and is just a sweet person in itself.

Tyler is a great hair stylist!!! He was able to get me in fairly quick for a haircut during the busy preparation into the holidays. Not only did he give me the best haircut/beard trim I’ve had, but he was very personable and easy to talk with. Also, he is very reasonably priced. I expect my cost to be more than it was for the quality he did.He also has some great home decor you can buy and take home to your spouse. Highly recommend getting your haircut with Tyler. And ladies, I’ve heard he is a great stylist too and he said his favorite thing to do is fix bad haircuts that other stylists bombed. I will be getting every haircut with Tyler going forward.

Small family owned Nail Shops can be hidden gems that deliver services that use high quality products, offer an array of customer friendly services at a reasonable price such as Fancy Nails. Julie gives the most comforting pedicure and Randy is most efficient at delivering what you requested without skipping a step making your nails exude showcase perfection. Though small, the salon is very tidy and clean using the most sterile techniques that will have you returning as a fan of the down to earth friendly environment.
I tried Chic, but they had a large wedding party on one side using almost all their workers. there were 8 chairs open but no more workers. I was originally told 15 minutes as a walk in, but then told to one back in 45minutes. NO thanks. Went down the street to Nails For You and got right in. Awesome job! Warm lotion!!!! I had never had that. Simple and thorough service for a pedicure. I always get regular polish so I have to give it time to dry.

Justine is the best and really makes you feel comfortable when it's your first spray tan. She made the whole process smooth and easy. I've received a lot of compliments since no one could tell it was a spray tan. There were no streaks or more color in one section over another. She checks on you the next day to make sure you are happy with the color. I also did the bikini wax and for the first time ever, it didn't hurt at all. No irritation and no issues. I used to do Wax in the City and they would just hurry through to get the next client in, but not Justine. She spends time making sure it's correct and happy. First time at this spa and already have my next appointment booked! Her prices are wonderful too!

Great for handyman jobs but it seems to take forever for a small room remodel. I started this process in December and it’s now February and I’m still waiting on cabinet doors and drapery. The reason why is because they want to be precise with measurements and layouts and making sure everything is correct and perfect. It’s the end of March and the remodel is finished. Love my dining room! Love the custom cabinets! ??

I highly recommend Solid Rock Landscaping. They responded when I called (!), came to the house when they said they'd come (!), stayed in close communication (!), AND did a great job! It's like a miracle to find all of this in one company these days. Not only has my home's curb appeal just improved 200%, but Chris even texted me following job completion to advise me to cover my new plants when the temperature was expected to drop down to freezing overnight. Purchased both tarped topsoil and garden mix. Price was almost exactly half of what it would have been in bags from the box store. The people are super helpful and friendly and I was in and out within 15 minutes. You can use their delivery for $90 a truckload, but I just picked up myself. Will definitely use again.

8/13/25 my visit today was so good. I was shocked at how awesome (Tina?) the hygienist cleaned my teeth. She removed so much of my coffee stain from my teeth, that they actually looked white again! I was super thrilled :)

4/30/25 my visit today was a great one. My dentist said my extraction areas were healing nicely and things looked much better. She also visited with me on partials and my options. I will give my options more thought and then will let her know what I am in favor of doing. Then, a mold will be made and the partial process will begin. I obtained some adequate detail to help me start my thought process on choosing which partial to go with. I left today's appointment feeling far more confident going forward. My dentist also smoothed out the tooth she had to separate from the bridge she had to take out. It feels much, much smoother against my tongue now :). Overall a very good visit today!!

Dr. Minnick and the team at Lakeview Family Dental were amazing. They were helpful and accommodating from the first phone call to the appointments. Everyone was welcoming and did a great job explaining things to my kids step by step so they felt comfortable. It was also the best cleaning I have had in years! They are thorough, knowledgeable, and take their time. Dr. Minnick took time to explain options and we never felt pressured into a certain plan of care. Most of all, we all felt comfortable and confident leaving the office… and had nice clean smiles! I moved to Iowa and needed to find a new dentist. I really didn't think I'd find a place that met the same caliber of service I received in Chicago (which is supposed to be better because it's bigger right?!?! WRONG!). I'm so glad Country Club dental proved me wrong!! The front staff here is superb. They are friendly and available to answer questions. It has always been easy to schedule and reschedule my appointments. I also have not had any problems with them accepting my insurance. They even offer a membership plan so that you don't need insurance to have dental services here if you become a member! I was seen by Dr. Gray and his assistant Sammie. Both are absolutely fabulous. They are very friendly, funny, and personable. Two weeks ago I had a dental cleaning. Sammie was very gentle taking topical pictures of my teeth. I think there was another device used to detect the density of my teeth too. I was impressed (and never got this type of service in Chicago!). They really check for everything here! Dr. Gray thoroughly reviewed my teeth, X-rays, gum recession and density and photos of my teeth. I was really impressed with the examination and the technology used here. They really care about dental health. At the end of my appointment I was even given an option of a manual toothbrush or a sonicare type replacement head for my electric toothbrush. WHAT?!!? My mind was blown that I had these options! During my appointment I had mentioned that my Chicago dentist had recommended to fill cavities of two of my wisdom teeth and that I wanted to move forward with that procedure. I also mentioned that I was prescribed some special toothpaste to prevent further decay and wanted that refilled. Dr. Gray immediately called in the prescription to my pharmacy to refill the toothpaste and we scheduled another appointment for a cavity filling. Done and done! Today....two weeks later...I just got my two cavities filled and felt compelled to write this Yelp review for Dr Gray and his team at Country Club Dental (and these days I'm only writing reviews for those places that are truly special to me). I'm not the type of person that is usually scared of the dentist, but I was anxious today because of my small mouth and possible difficulty maneuvering within the small space. But they had all the tools necessary to make this experience SO EASY. My small mouth was not an issue at all and I did not feel any pain! I had to open my eyes every so often just to check if my mouth was still being worked on because I was so comfortable and didn't feel anything during the procedure! They also had a device (that amazed me because I never had it in Chicago) that allowed me to comfortably rest my mouth, while still keeping it open, and sucked up the particles/water in my mouth during the procedure. I'll be annoyed if Dr. Gray gets booked up because of this review but life isn't all about me so I'll be okay to share him and his team. ;-) I initially heard about Country Club dental from a friend who raved about Dr. Fung. I'm sure all the dentists here are wonderful but I'm sticking with Dr. Gray. =)

From the minute I walked into the doors of Grand Dental I felt welcome Tom and Mel B said good morning. I commented I nice the plants were in the waiting area. I had a very short wait then Mia took me back to my exam room. Dr. Dan walked in shortly after and explained what I could expect during my exam in detailed. Had X-ray done. Dr Dan came back in explaining what he found on the x-rays and next steps. Then Colete cleaned my teeth. Checked out with Mel B and Dan. If you want an enjoyable experience going to the dentist Grand Dentist is the place to go.

Dr. Nick is the best chiropractor I know. He does an excellent job and always listens to exactly what you need. I have gone to him for my pregnancy pains and nothing fixes my hip like an adjustment from dr. Nick. I cannot recommend him enough!
Garrett up at the front desk was very upbeat and helpful. While waiting for my appointment I believe I was asked by four people if I had been helped. It was my initial appointment. The assistant was very nice and explained everything and the Dr took the time to go over my scans and asked if we had any questions.
Great service. Excellent,kind, professional chiropractor listened to me carefully and gave me tips and exercises to do as well as mild adjustment . Took before and after pictures and I look a lot straighter now. I feel so good, and confident. I highly recommend this chiropractor!
I love Michon at skin Iowa,she is the best dermatologist I’ve ever had. And I’ve been having plastic surgery since 1978. I love how she puts in Botox and fillers. She is better than the plastic surgeons in Palm Springs and Beverly Hills, which two cities that are famous for their work. I still need a neck lift, but I am almost three quarters of a century old!

Dr. Zafar was great! He listened to everything I said and really took his time to look at all my concerns and talk about everything. Would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a dermatologist!
Dr. Benham truly understands my quirky cats and has offered many way to help each of them with their different issues. From one being too heavy (she isn't fat, she is fluffy) to another cat reaching the end of his journey here on earth, the staff has taken great care of not only our pets, but taken care of us as a family.
Dr. Lloyd has been taking exceptional care of my four cats since I moved to WDM. Having visited several vets before her, I can confidently say that none have matched the depth of knowledge she has shared with me about my cats' health. She consistently goes above and beyond. I trust her expertise, and I wouldn't consider taking my cats to any other vet.
All of the staff are very friendly and have been wonderful with both of our dogs that we have brought there! Anytime we need an appointment, they are very quick to get it scheduled and our dog seen. They are also reasonably priced. I highly recommend Grand Ave Vet! :)
Brought my dog here for an echocardiogram, and they were wonderful. The cost was reasonable, the staff was friendly, and the care was too notch! My dog is high strung, and they were able to calm her enough that she didnt need sedation. Highly recommended!
How much I appreciate the care, kindness and support from the entire veterinarian staff is beyond words. The love they show this rescue guy is immeasurable.
They are absolutely amazing! All the staff is friendly and caring. They loved on my dog and really made us feel like we were important to them. They listened to all our concerns and gave us great answers to all our questions. I would DEFINITELY recommend taking your pet to see them!

Renee is absolutely amazing and truly lives up to the rave reviews and then some! I reached out last minute due to some ongoing pain in my head, neck, and shoulders, and she was incredibly accommodating, fitting me into her schedule on short notice. Renee's expertise is immediately evident. She worked on areas that have been causing me pain, areas that often get overlooked by other therapists. Her approach was both clinically skilled and compassionate, making me feel comfortable and cared for throughout the session.
The space is welcoming, professional, and calming, and Renee herself is a joy to talk to. It was honestly the best massage experience I’ve ever had.
I’m almost tempted to keep Renee’s magical work to myself, but she truly deserves to be shared with the world. If you’re lucky enough to book a session, you’ll see exactly what I mean. Highly recommend!
Summer knows the body and knows how to go deep into sore, tight muscles. I love that she incorporates essential oils into the massage. The massage room is welcoming and comfortable and her music is perfect.

Keziah is the BEST massage therapist for prenatal massages. Her experience as a Doula and passion for women’s health makes her massages unmatched! Plus, she has the special massage bed where you can lay on your stomach during pregnancy… which is heaven!
I got a massage done here about two years ago and still remembered how good it was. I’ve been working a lot of hours lately and so when I decided to book a massage I had to come back. I got a deep tissue and specifically asked for Anna, she is amazing. I personally don’t think it was too rough, but that differs from person to person. I felt she was very considerate and gentle in the areas that you could tell were a little more sensitive. Also, yes they get on the table with you however they do not get ON TOP of you! Overall I will be coming back next time I’d like a massage:)

They greeted me by name when I walked in, and it became a place I actually enjoyed going to twice a week.
Everyone was very knowledgeable and now I am well on my way to recovering from shoulder replacement surgery.

Amazing providers. Receptionist staff is always so pleasant to talk to. I have major phone anxiety, and they've always managed to melt it away. These women have really helped me on my health journey - i couldnt imagine going anywhere else!
You wouid be hard to find a better more helpful and welcoming place for any kind of physical therapy. Jessica G was my therapist and she helped me more than 2 doctors I saw before coming here. She helped my situation so much I had to do a review. The whole staff is really really good people. If or when I need PT again I will be coming here forsure!!
