Make an appointment or walk-in to freshen up your fade or whatever you need. After cleaning you up, they also offer a free rinse and a short shoulder massage, so make sure to show your appreciation with a tip.“

“Emily really knows her hair. She takes alot of time understanding your hair and explaining how your hair lays and best way to cut and maintain. Though, at $100 for a basic hair cut, and $80 for beard trim, razor shave and facial. Throw in a 25% tip and you're looking at over $225 + tax before getting out of there. She's a lot of fun, and she's worth the money, but unfortunately, I'll only be able to enjoy this luxury on special occasions.“

I told her I wanted a low fade and showed her a picture of what I wanted. She gave me a great haircut and was a pleasure to talk with, telling me about how she left Vietnam in April 1975 on the day the NVA was taking Saigon. It actually turned out to be one of the better haircuts I’ve gotten in my life, and for $15, you can’t beat it!

“Short review on the SALON: In terms of the salon, I've seen many great haircuts and happy customers praising Thuy's work. They keep the place very clean and have a loyal following. Her daughter is a sweet heart as well! I've never gotten my hair cut there, but I wouldn't hesitate for either her or her daughter to cut my hair :) _______________________________________________ REAL REASON I'm here though is to rave about HANNAH, the nail manicurist! SHE IS AWESOME! I've tried a lot of other places, but Hannah, hands down, is still my top choice for doing my mani and pedi. PROS: 1) She knows how to prep and clean nails thoroughly and safely! Hannah is skilled at removing excess skin without harming you. My nails are always shaped beautifully, no matter if I ask for them short or long. She is also very gentle in her technique. Whether you'd like your cuticles trimmed a bit or not at all, she will do as you ask with a smile! 2) She is very particular with her designs and makes sure each nail is immaculate! I always get asked if my nails are "fake' after a manicure from Hannah. People always react a bit surprised when I tell them "no." They say: "Looks too nice to just be your regular nails!" I just smile :). She hand paints everything and will do it to perfection. And if you don't like it, she has no problem redoing the design to your liking. 3) She's quick! Most of the time, my mom and I go together, and she gets us both done within 90 minutes. That's amazing for doing two manis and two pedis...with designs! By one person! 4) Her prices are reasonable! For the QUALITY that you get from Hannah, the price is well worth it. My mom and I pay about 50 dollars each for a mani-pedi. At most salons, it's $60+ with addition for designs and the foot massage/bath for ONE person. Plus, these places don't CLEAN, PREP, and take as much CARE as Hannah will with your nails. CONS: 1) She is a one-woman business. She's the only nail person at the salon, so getting an appointment with her can be a little tough. (But hey, she's that high in demand! That's how good she is!) She does walk-ins...but making an appointment is a must to secure a good time! 2) Those needing "refills" won't find what they need here. Hannah does natural nails only. (She does Shellac, but no acrylic.) 3) Parking is a bit of hassle b/c it's in Chinatown, but the Maunakea Parking Garage is not far of a walk at all. 4) Those wanting "3D" designs won't find it with Hannah. She likes nails to look beautiful but also wants you to be able to use your hands w/o worrying about your nails when you work!“
