“This was one of the top spa experiences I have ever had. It was SO relaxing once I was in it. Before I even arrived, I had emailed with their team a few times. They had really helpful explanations of what the differences between the treatments were that let me quickly decide what I'd rather do; often, places use very flowery imagery and aren't remotely straightforward even after being asked about specifics. They also didn't try to upsell me when I was figuring out which combination of treatments I wanted.

Once inside, it's an expansive treatment area and easy to get lost in with all of the corridors and doors. Be sure to get a tour and pay attention! There are multiple waiting areas with refreshments at different stations and quality amenities in the dressing room. My favorite part of the facility was the ice chamber, which was not actually that cold to me. I could have sat in there for hours. A major perk of staying at the hotel is that you have access to the spa each day, even if you aren't getting a treatment. This is particularly useful on the day you check out since you can hang by the pool and then change/refresh in these facilities.

One downside I would note that I realized once I was in my first treatment is that the facility is co-ed. I personally find it extremely jarring to have cisgender men in my space in general, especially one that's meant to be healing and tranquil, but even without that the crew that was there was pretty rambunctious for a spa setting. A lot of them were talking - not just the men, to be fair, it seemed like there were some friend groups and couples - and it was extremely crowded when I left the treatment room. The rooms are off of the main wet spa area that people cycle through, so it was off-putting to hear them throughout the second half of the treatment when they started getting a critical mass. Before I had started my treatment, I was in there for about an hour and there were only a handful of women there (and no one was talking). Once I had finished the treatment, everyone in there had a swimsuit on, so you'll want to bring one even if you won't wear one during your spa service(s).

I got a few treatments, including a long hammam-based treatment and a manicure and pedicure. All of the treatments are on the expensive side compared to other similar spas I've been to (in LA, Vegas, and Miami). I would say it's worth the money, though. The hammam ritual I had was exceptional. My provider was the perfect mix of informative and thoughtful without being overly talkative. I got a good explanation of everything both before the entire treatment and while it was happening. My skin was super soft afterwards. Part of the service included an optional hair mask - my hair is very long and there's a lot of it. It ended up carefully done up in a braid, which took some extra time, I'm sure, but was very appreciated.

The mani/pedi was in a little private room that had a floor to ceiling window overlooking the pool area. It was really cool! That made it so that there weren't the very sturdy chairs with built in tubs and such that you might be used to at other places, but the service was fantastic and view was worth the tradeoff. It's still a comfy chair, just not the same bulk as many other places. My provider was really attentive and it turned out to be one of the longest lasting mani/pedis I've had. There wasn't a ton of color variety, though, even with gel or other upgrades.

I would recommend this spa even if you aren't staying at the hotel. It's well worth a trip.“
