“Been going here over 9 years this time was totally different rushed, receptionists disrespectful rude concerned about future weather instead of focusing on me (customer) approached counter she looked at me said what? in condescending tone usually after doctor hands receptionist paper work need info for next step, her response I just got paperwork, and now I need next move let someone know I need to look at new glasses DUH! Asked if I had pictures taken again little confused why asked shouldn't she know by looking at paper work ? She tried to charge $43 I questioned charge then she looked oh it says zero! I drive twice 25 miles each way here because I use to feel important as a patient. When I make last trip to receive new glasses will look for new service closer to home with professional service places are dime a dozen they need satisfied patients for buisness success,jobs and survival. MeEye Dr facility where I am a patient informed me they couldn't fix or it would break. They lost me as a customer and I will walk in tomorrow to let them know and cancel my appointment. They saved our daughter's future!When we learned that all eye exams aren't created equal, we decided to give our children the best eye care they could receive. He makes sure I understand my eye health and takes his time to make sure any issues are addressed. I recently had an eye complication and he made sure to get me in within 24 hours to see him and had close follow up to ensure it was resolved. “First, I'll share the ugly: the woman at the front desk in East Haven is one of the rudest people I've spoken to in a long time, and that says a lot! However, Eleanor, who answers the phones and helps with advisement, is AMAZING. When my first instructions on how to put contacts in weren't working for me, I spoke with Eleanor, who gave me some options. And boom, when I tried what she told me over the phone, I was able to pop contacts in easy breezy!

So grateful for Eleanor and the other staff at Envision, except the front desk lady in East Haven, she could use some bedside manner lessons! Absolutely disgusted by how she treated me after I was sent to Madison to pick up my contacts, only to find out they were in the East Haven location. You'd think, if anything, she would have apologized, but instead she acted like I was annoying her when I had a couple of follow-up questions to be sure I was picking up only and not having the I and R instructions.

5 stars are for Eleanor, Chis, and Maria because they were dedicated pros! Would highly recommend this place, just have patience as you would with your child, with the upfront desk at the Madison location, can't speak for all front desk employees, it was just the one that was beyond rude... don't know her name.“

“I've been going to Spector eye care for the last several years. Dr. Schantz, my Dr. at Spector has been great , thorough , attentive and totally professional. Ho hum visits, just the way I like them. Change glasses and contact lens prescriptions periodically, in and out of office with nothing much to think or worry about. Several weeks back she told me I needed to have a cataract taken out and steered me to Dr. Spector. Well eyes being my second favorite body part, I was petrified to consider an eye surgery. Simply put Dr. Spector is amazing ( that coming from a perpetual cynic). Not only was he patient explaining my need for treatment , he gave me several alternatives. Laser surgery being the one I opted for. Surgery was not only painless, he was thorough, professional and just plain great. My follow up the next day solidified in my mind that he really cares about his patients and their well being. Hoping anyone reading this does NOT need eye surgery but if you should, I highly recommend Dr. Spector for surgery and any of his colleagues for basic eye care. Richard B.“
